Proud to own a Nissan Navara D23 2019! Great driving pleasure, practicality, and all arounder! It was excellent value for money, it's got some great bells and whistles like heated seats, keyless entry, tinted rear windows, etc... manual transmission but it's pretty good for a pick up! Who said only the Germans build luxury cars, aye?
I'm in love with my Navara D23 2019! I think its the greatest Pickup for this value of money. I've paid about 30% off the retail for a brandnew car. Thats about 33,5 k in €. Thats insane for that much car. The blind button under the climate control is a rear differential lock. Nice review!
Been watching a lot of your reviews lately. Absolutely love them. Brilliant videos, brilliant presenter. Very informative. I'm calling tomorrow to enquire about a Navara at your haydock branch 🤣
Cheers mate. I mentioned this because I am looking to buy a 4x4 ute, very confused about whats on offer, best motor and drive train combination. Have read Nissan utes are crap, so very interested to see why. Have read so many reviews on so many utes, all seem to point towards Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux. But they have had their share of problems also. Its a mine field in the UTE market.
Tom here: I completely agree... but I wouldn't describe it as a minefield. Fords are very reliable, Toyota's Hilux is a great platform, but the Nissan platform is surprisingly tough. If you're looking for a wide one though - check out the VW Amarok.

Make a video of what the truck can do like offroad and stuff
I took delivery of a new Navara Tekna back in October 2019 Auto, loved it straight away however it had issues from the start, the main one being a weird engine vibration, it went into the dealership in January to sort out, still not had it back as they can’t fix it, I have rejected it, Nissan Customer service are not good at all, so wish I had gone for a Ranger or L200 as the whole experience has put me off.
Tom here: That does sound like a bad experience. It doesn't happen often, but it's no less easy to hear that customers don't get what they were looking for. I can't recommend L200s highly enough - the new Series 6 is particularly excellent.
Been driving a work issued 2020 d23 king cab with steel tray, put 80thou on this girl and most of those km's have been achieved with plenty of right foot (im aussie). So much personality and smooth aggression if that sounds coherent? Besides the amarok and triton (sometimes) this is the quickest.. Issues worth mentioning are: paint is hhwhùownm mn I
Tom here: Fair cop, at one point I said it drives like a car and how good it would be for families... I'll put down my feelings in the review page and post a link so you can read how it drove. Fair point though, totally appreciate your comment. :)
@@vanaramauk I was interested in how it rides on suspension...auto box...how many years and are the ratios suited...rough mpg...pick up from rest...in gear acceleration....the usual stuff
Hehe getting my own next week, however I really dislike the steering wheel design, always manage to honk the horn while making a sharp turn, also how can you not have a rear fold down arm rest?
Are the backs of the seats heated as well as the parts you stick your bum on?Is the steering wheel adjustable for reach as well as rake?Does the infotainment centre have a SD card slot for music?
Tom here: Yes, the backs are heated too. Yes, the wheel goes up and down, and forward and back. I'll check out the infotainment for card slots - most just use Bluetooth or cable connectivity these days.
Tom here: Hi Mike, I mentioned this model was an automatic in the cabin section, described its drive quality during the road test section, but fair point on the drive train - I'll make sure to include this in future reviews. Thanks again.
It's the armrest at the the back and the triton's lacking of vanity mirror at the driver side that has got my mind not made of on whether to get a navara or triton.
it is very good off road, unlike most others the ABLS continues to work on front wheels when rear diff is engaged. From off road trips on uneven and slippery surfaces it has so much grip and good gearing. Acceleration is near top for pickup, exception of v6 offerings, and has higher power to mass ratio than latest 2.0 wildtrak. Seats are zero gravity inspired as well, no bouncy rear on gravel and bad roads. U will hv to drive it over a long distance variation (gravel, high speed, off road) to appreciate it as the best package. Over short trips, depending on road, others may seem to be better by quick first impressions
I'm hanging on to my V6 Outlaw as long as possible - I'm tempted to change for a newer one but I find these turbo'd 2-2.3L engines unsatisfying - just don't have the refinement and feeling of there being more in the tank like you get with the V6 or as effortless when it comes to a real load or off-road. That isn't to say they are bad engines - some are pretty good for what they are - just don't compare IMO to a good V6.
i am just abot to by a ute next week all the feeds here on the comment are mostly appreciated design wise nissan is perfect. not sure about perfomance and reliability. for africa hilux has been dominating the market for the off road experience not sure of this new generation of navara if can match. however the full spec nissan navara is way below the market price for the hilux double cab
