I just got the etr I couldn’t tell the difference in glass quality side by side with a vortex gen 2 razor and after tall target testing its 100% I couldn’t believe it for $1,100.
ran the original Cronus then upgraded to the Cronus BTR last year for PRS. It truly is solid glass. Tall tested to 15 mils and was absolutely spot on reliable. The parallax is pretty amazing too. I was able to just about range with it which not many scopes can do. No CA on the glass for the most part and I am greatly thankful for that. $1799 is truly a bargain due to the feature set of the optic. It competes with $2500+ scopes in its class.
derekkt49 Yeah that’s fair enough, it is still quite pricey. Although good value compared to Vortex and Nightforce equivalents. I hear the Ares ETR is pretty good at around $1k. Unfortunately that’s about as cheap as it gets for good glass in this type. Expensive hobby for sure.
