The 2019 Spirit of St. Louis Air Show & STEM Expo.
The World War II Spitfire takes to the skies flown by Warren Pietsch followed by the Royal Air Force Red Arrows! The Red Arrows performance begins with the Spitfire tucked in from behind in close formation.
Spirit of St. Louis Airport (KSUS).

As someone who grew up in South East England, the sight and sound of a spitfire brings tears to the eyes "Never in the field of human conflict has so much been owed by so many to so few" " The debt remains and will increase God bless you all"

Fully agree. I live in the city (a town during the war), where the spitfire engines came from. I sometimes hear ( sadly not so often recently ) a spitfire flying overhead. I drop whatever I'm doing to run outside. Once I was having a bath, honest, I jumped out and just managed to see it.😊 I'm told that when it flies over the Roll Royce factory it does a Victory Roll. Would love to see that.

They would have done if it hadn`t been for that Spit!!! Seriously it was a fantastic display with the Spitfire providing a very moving counterpoint to the modern jets. Without the Spitfire ,Hurricane and the young men who flew them... no Red Arrows
