Thanks for the tutorial bro. I was able to install a set of XSE tail lights using your video. Removing the bumper was a bit tough for me but I still managed. The tail lights are a huge upgrade! 💯
😮😮Yooo on god 20 min ago I came to your channel to see if there was any new vids and you just posted one 10 mins later right after I searched it. (Also it still had the “Life of Trilla” name.)
made my day lol. I’m trying to post but it’s hard to like edit and all that lol. I’m still new at this. I got a couple of videos made already that I just need to edit. Also with my name I didn’t know what to put. I was feeling the whole Life of Trilla
Thanks for this excellent video! What a steal that you got Toyota OEM XSE taillights for $50! I found Depo brand XSE/XLE taillight housings on eBay for a little under $400. They seem fine, comparable to OEM, I just hope the LEDs are long life like OEM. Aftermarket parts are a gamble. Anyway, I have the inside XSE housings installed on my 2019 SE and they work great. I also had to tap into the driver's side license plate bulb/wire for power because the right side power was very dim. Weird that happens on the SE. I don't have the plug&play wiring adapter and so far don't think I'll need it. Next I'll do the outside XSE taillight housings. I'm going to try to do it without removing the bumper but it was interesting watching you do it. One precaution I took was I tested all the LEDs with wire jumpers to the car battery to make sure they all worked before I started removing the original SE taillight housings. The awesome taillights are just about the best features of the XSE and now you can upgrade lousy SE taillights to XSE for around $400. I'm hoping to finish tomorrow. Thanks again for the excellent information.
Damn when you do it everything looks easy and smooth but when i think of starting myself damn things gets complicated... and respect for you to do the almost everything with one hand bro
Thanks man! Before I even started working on my own stuff, I had no idea about anything and now I’ve worked myself to doing anything slowly, even till now some things get complicated. Doing things one handed is pretty hard lol
this is long time after your comment but I’ve heard that some people had trouble with those lexus-styled tail lights. That’s why I would like to get these for my se.
@@davidrobles2910 I think that the ones he’s talking about are from hirevsports, they have pretty nice lines, sequential turn signal, and an animation when you turn on the car. Bad things that I’ve heard about them are that there’re some parts missing in the package, customer service is not that good*, some people have also seen water get into the housing. Don’t take my word for it though, you can check out the reviews.
@@davidrobles2910 I don’t know which ones you are talking about, but if they look similar to the nike logo, I’m pretty sure this guy is talking about the same ones as well. Those have a led that works as drl and turn signal, pretty dope imo. They might be be plug n play but I think the problem comes in the long run.
Wassup man! Awesome and very thorough on how you explained and did everything step by step. I have a 2018 LE, would I be able to incorporate all of this for the 2018 LE model or what?
Awesome and informative video! Learned alot about the different types of wiring harness between the LED and halogen bulbs. Quick question, do you know where I could get the wiring harness for both the inner and outer light modules? I got a pair of LED lights that looks exactly like yours but it doesn't come with any wiring harness or whatsoever. Cheers
Awesome to hear! Tried to look on the website I put in the description if it’s not on there the next thing to do is to go to your local Toyota and see if they sell it to you or try to get the part # from them and check on eBay to see if they sell them cheaper.
Ricky ....Would you please make a video on how to change Transmition Oil on the Camry??? I watched few video, but they look tooooooo complicated, using software after the oil change and I don't know what more things............. thank you.
You can like I did put on the exhaust the same as an XSE , I did it’s all bolt on as well . Buy left muffler, brackets , heat shielding, bolts , and center “Y” pipe. Cutting the black plastic, cutting butter, easy to RR. Like the lights, I’ve been wanting to do same.
Eh don’t really want to put that much into the car that’s why I have te truck to do everything to it. I’m just doing small stuff to it. If the lights wasn’t that cheap I wouldn’t really be putting those on. Thanks for the idea tho
Would I beable to install 2021 corolla xse tailights onto a corolla SE with those wire adapters at 6:45 from hirev sport to make it plug and play. Great job man, looks awesome
hey if i need only the cable that adapter to the light beacuse in my car it is real blumb and not led where can i buy it? i mean for the cable and the rubber part that seal from the car itself to the light! ty
Super late reply but I decided to do this recently and why do we have to splice into the same license plate power wire? What prevents us from splicing into both for each side?
bro. there is an LED in the SE taillights but its just one and its a weird one that you wont find a aftermarket replacement for. unless you change the style of the taillights completely
I ordered and just received the harness from HIREVSPORT... instead of blue and black wires ...mine is yellow and black ... I’m not sure which wire goes on top or bottom of the connector.. if you can tell me .. I would greatly appreciated.. thank you
Ricky 5.3 Was it easy to peel? I was thinking of getting a wire splice connector on amazon lol. Would it matter if i split the left or right line of the left plate light? Where you in CA??
Where can you guys get the tail lights from? I looked it up on ebay and so many websites but I could not find it. Can someone please tell me where to buy those tail lights ?
Bro you did too much no need to take off the bumper nor the plastic inside the trunk is just the two screw from the tail light and disconnect the harness
Irwin Flores I kind of realized that but it’s ok maybe it teaches for other people if they want they’re bumper off. It wasn’t that hard to take it off and put it back on
@@Trilla_ It never bothered me, I just point out something that you didn't know or just lied about, you made it out to be more of the lense would come on with the brake, that is not the case with this gen of tail lamps.
The box is aftermarket because the guy bought aftermarket tail lights and he put his oem tails in the box to ship it to me. I know what’s oem and what’s not.
@@Trilla_ idk where u could find them for 50 bucks. Ive seen them go for 300 from Toyota themselves. 50 sounds to good to be true. And hey to each their own. Also aftermarket ones look sick man maybe your looking at all the cheap options. But hey I’m not hating on him tho, they do look clean I was thinking about getting them myself but wanted to get aftermarket ones
@@shitcompanyass8625 I’m not saying to not believe me either. You should join groups on Facebook and you will see people sell parts for cheap. There only like 2 or 3 styles of aftermarket tails and and for me I just rather be all oem
@@michaeltrinidad1217 I know they are oem tail lights. I said he took the tail lights I have so he can put aftermarket. And I know how much they go for. I’m not dumb. I just got lucky
@@saulmeza1795 XSE is nice but it’s nearly 40 grand bro. The SE is the best value Camry hands down it’s a lot of car for the money already and after you make your mods you still end up spending less than you would’ve if you bought the XSE.
