@@gentlefastdriver bro i drove many of those cars 184ps. Wont reach more then 230 on a straight road. Dont you see the vid the hill is going slightly down
So factory claimed 0-100 is 7.3sec and we know they always make it look better so true 0-100 is real world 7.8-8sec. that is slow af even 7.3 sec by today's standards. 7.3 seconds was 0-100 for a hatch in 1990-92 it was considered fast hatch. 2020 and a 7.3 sec is awfull
@@gentlefastdriver yes we can agree on that. And that dsg gearbox is a work of art. I'm not hating on the VW it is a sweet ride. My friend has one and it might not blow your socks off with the performance but damn that thing is light on diesel even driving like a hooligan it still returns very good consumption results. The interior is also just brilliant lots of comfort and tech. It's overall a lovely car. They should have just made it a 5 cilinder and made it 2.5/2.7 awd. That would have been great haldex using that torque on all 4 wheels would have been a monster.
But then it would have stomped the flagship gti even maybe giving the R a run for its money on pull away. It has to be slower than the other 2 that is just the way the world works🤣🤣🤣
My gtd is chipped to 240hp & 505hp by jdengineer, did 0-100 in 5.5 seconds (Vbox) Basically, the same numbers as a GTI. But after 120-130 you really feel that slow diesel kicking in 🤪 But i live at a place with a lot of mountains, so uphill you really get that torque benefit. Diesels are here the best. I wanted a GTI so badly. But sadly im not ready to fill that thirsty machine up, Friend has a gti performance, when he drives normal he get about 450km on 1 tank. When i drive normal i get about 730-800. Huge difference, and sadly benzin is like 1.97 in my country, where diesel is only 1.45 😶
