Here is a look at the parts I am running on the Yamaha Banshee 350 in 2019. It has been a couple of years since the Banshee had the frame rebuilt so I decided to tear her down, paint it and then rebuild it. If you are new to TrailBlogger subscribe here bit.ly/2yGh7yS
The engine was compression tested and leak down tested prior to installation. This is just a little video to show the parts going together for the new 2019 rebuild and a quick test ride around the yard then a spin up the mountain on my usual trail.

@@ruudiutsenikov609 That's a good attitude to know and understand. Just cause it's one of the cheap chinese ones. don't mean you should love it any less. Keep an eye on it. Check things often, keep it greased up. Keep the bolts and adjustments tight. Proof is in the pudding man! take care of your things. And they will take care of you.

@@JackG79 exactly my bike has lasted 4years just because ive been putting high quality oil's and grease on it only thing ive changed is the piston i change it once a year cause i ride everyday for 1-2h

Almost brings tears to my eyes watching the onboard footage in northern California. Best banshee video I've ever seen. I had one in high school till about 2006 when I left for college. I used to ride a trail like that almost every day. Haven't heard that sound in a long time. Although I do have an RZ350 I did practically a frame up restoration on, the sound isn't quite the same as when you're slipping the clutch and going from almost lugging it to almost redline in an instant and just keeping it right in the sweet spot as you are doing a hill climb or a massive power slide. Man, I might have to get another banshee now.... but I'm saving for a dirtbike...

Get the banshee! LOL you won't regret it. Isn't it strange how you can see a video of the Northern California woods and recognize it right away by the trees and rocks surrounding the area? Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! RZ350 would be a blast to ride on the street! I only ride dirt now, sold my old FZ6R and hung up my street bike helmet for good. Too many bad drivers on the road, I just drive my old truck now.

I just built a banshee, I didn`t have the money to buy a nice one so I sold a couple blasters that were blowed up that I rebuilt. I painted my frame to so far I have 2100.00 in a nice running great banshee. I bought the motor from one guy and a frame from another and rest off ebay. It has a shaved head, 7 degrees of timing, toomey pipes and toomey intake and she rips. great video i really enjoyed

I always wanted a Banshee. But I found a 1999 Polaris scrambler 400 2 stroke 4x4 and bought it. 2 stroke fun and 4 wheel drive 👍🏼. Still may get a Banshee one day though

In your opinion running a stock banshee with airscrews 2 turns out like manual says, I run 927 38:1... Yamaha says 24:1 which sounds nuts. Am I running the right mix at elevation under 2500 ft?

Definitely on my list but I want to save and get a good quality one that will take a beating. In the meantime the dual row carrier holds up nice. Just chain adjustments are a pain compared to a round style

In reality it took about 3-4 months and a whole lot of time haha it was about 10 hours of footage condensed down to 1 hour. If you look I am wearing winter clothes in a few of the first shots haha

Yamaha never should have stopped production of the 350 twin motor. It goes back to the late 60's(air cooled). I still have my 1st motorcycle I bought, 1975 RD350.

I would love to at least ride an RD someday. When I took my cylinders in to have them bored at the machine shop there was an older guy with a set of cylinders off his RD 350 having them done. He said they were on the original bore still. He was all about my banshee and wanted to test ride it haha
