2020-18: A7 Kirchheimer Dreieck - Kassel: An autobahn rollercoaster! 

I grew up in Homberg Efze at the middle of the route. Thanks for presenting my hood and its amazing motorway to the world! Rollercoaster - that perfectly fits!

Nice vidéo ! This is only section of Autobahn A7 from Hattenbach (A5) to Kassel I love ! Someday, I want to film this section in the future.

There are parts on that stretch "Kasseler Berge" where lorries are banned to the right lane for good reason and where there are positive speed limits. The blue signs with white digits then tell you your minimum speed for the individual lanes and when your car with a family of four to five plus luggage for the holiday cannot make that even in low gear you are sent to where the lorries and caravans crawl uphill. You are advised not to underestimate those curves. When your car tells you that it does not like to get around them any faster and wants to go straight ahead instead SLOW DOWN!! No wonder that accidents happen more often with holiday makers because their cars are loaded to their limits. Drive with all your senses, and that includes your fingers at the wheel, your hiney on its eat and your ears for the motor.

i really like the part of the A3 between cologne and frankfurt too. its kinda similar to this A7 section. also build before ww2 . steep hills and tight curves. u don’t have this for example on the A45 between dortmund and frankfurt even though u have the exact same terrain . because they build the a45 in the 60s they had to follow some regulations on curve radius and steep hills

Poor Seat Arosa 😟 6500 RPM 🙄. I don't know what engine you have, but when I had my Skoda Fabia 1.4 16V with 75hp, i easily got uphill after Kirchheimer Dreieck in 4th gear and 120 km/h. But this hill is mighty, you need at least 250Nm to get uphill in highest gear, because now i drive a Honda Accord 2.0 156hp, need to switch back in 5th gear to not lose speed there. As I drive this route a few times a year, i always use the downhill parts to kick in up to 240km/h and then go uphill smooth. Like a rollercoaster bruh!
