@@xChillOutHDx I truly believe if Lewis didn’t send him spinning in Brazil and particularly Austria if he won that race, the media wouldn’t have been on him and that’s what has caused this that Albon would have 5-6 podiums this season
@@jacklepley6479 if you had a brain you would realize in albons case he was ahead of hamilton and thus has the right of way so hamilton should yield, and in hamiltons attempted overtake he was behind albon so albon was right to push him
No Mercedes 1-2 Grosjean brake failure Vettel spins Ricciardo car failure Hamilton and Albon crash A McLaren on the podium Leclerc gets 2nd in the 5th fastest car Williams gets P11 9 Retirements THIS IS F1
Last race flashbacks : last race I got close to champagne but thanks to lewis it never came I’m srsly angry at lewis I want albon and Norris to get polessssss
Nigel Farage uhhh no.. I like Hamilton but he definitely caused that. Albon had the line and had the pass and Hamilton tried to close the door after albon was already past him
Ppl in this comment saying no, like are u dumb or what? Have you ever seen anything like that? Last lap, fastest lap and get his first podium by 2 tenths in a McLaren becoming 3rd youngest podium taker. Surely its historical.
Hamilton: Okay 1 lap left, Lando is 5,7 seconds behind me, he's not gonna be able to do it. Lando Norris has left the chat. Landobot has entered the chat.
Brazil 2019 : Albon and Hamilton crash; Hamilton gets a 5s time penalty; Mclaren on the podium Austria 2020 : Albon and Hamilton crash; Hamilton gets a 5s time penalty; Mclaren on the podium
3:44 if this didn´t happen, Albon might have still be in Red Bull, I know Albon had to retire, but that could have been caused by that crash with Lewis, if Albon won, I think he would get a lot of confidence, that could potentially helped him to keep that RB seat
yes but that's all about performing and pressure, I don't know if you watched the drive to survive 2020 season on netflix but christian horner said: 'how many times has Alex had a weekend without any worries in the quali and the race and finishing just in 4th at least' of course Verstappen as a teammate is a very hard benchmark but albon only managed to drive top 4 4 times in the other 16 races in this 2020 season, but that's how fast you can go from hero to zero in F1
@@maguirethegoat213 Hamilton would have had to compromise his exit in order to give him space and with albon on the fastest tyre it would mean that passing him again would cost him a lot of time
i was so happy to see Bottas up there, if mercedes is gonna win both championships hopefully Bottas can finally get one. he’s shown he can compete with Lewis consistently
@@danielstark7239 youre right more safe than anything...idk maybe a gearbox sensor was faulting out so he couldnt push it on the curbs.....did you watch the race or just had it on and looked up from your phone when something happened...lul dude had 3 perfect restarts with lewis behind him .
@@manspeej Albon had soft compound tires and lewis had hard not sure about bottas but im pretty sure he wasnt on soft either maybe hard too since he is Lewis' teammate. Tire waise Albon has am edge and that seemed to be enough for him to win the race. But Hamilton had to knock him out... Thats bad manners by him, i hated that move even though i kinda rooted for him since early 2010s. Albon should have won that race
Happy to watch this in the early morning on the TV. Helped take my mind off my mothers passing on sat. morning. Great race gents and welcome back to the art of extreme physical distancing... F1
@@keaponlaffin6737 Thanks so much Keapon, I feel kind of foolish mentioning it but the truth is always best. I hope I didn't dampen the mood, and I truly thank you for your kindness Yours truly Blk Pig aka Izz ;}
@@blkpig6664 welcome, and of course no problem. You spoke with your heart, just needed to get it off your chest, it's only human. It's good to have something that can take you away for a second, especially the very next day. Suprising nobody responded to your comment, I just did because even a simple small comment from a stranger can help even a little bit. I hope all went well for you this past week. I cannot imagine how it must have been, since I luckely have never lost anyone that close to me (yet) other than my grandparents. But yeah, your parents will eventually pass before you do so it is only natural I suppose, but that doesn't make it lighter or easier one bit. Good luck, and all it takes is time for you to heal. Take good care of yourself, and despite the difficult time for you please do allow yourself to enjoy the upcoming race this weekend..! Best wishes, Keapon Laffin (Jan)
Things that never change: - Mercedes winning - Albon losing a podium because of Hamilton - Ricciardo's engine breaking - Vettel Spinning - Williams last - Grosjean DNF
Kimi: You forgot to connect the wheel through. Engineer: Yes confirm. Kimi: Is the wheel... is it on now? Ok I have no idea. Engineer: We forgot to connect Kimi, you will not have the wheel, sorry. Kimi: Is it on or not? The wheel. Let me know. Engineer: No, Kimi. No, you will not have the... Kimi: No, no, no... Is the wheel on or not? Engineer: You mean the slow button? Kimi: No no, is my wheel, is it coming off the car or not? Engineer: No, no Kimi no. You will not have the wheel.
I saw max retire. I was like that’s it as usual mercedes 1-2 and probably 3 by perez and it was this way for almost all the race. I never expected Ferrari to catchup, nor Lando. I fell asleep of boredom. I woke up at the last 20 laps of the race. And boy oh boy thank god i woke up. This race went from 0 to 100 real fucking quick. Penalties, intense moments, crashes and bumps ( hard luck Alex i was really pissed i would have loved to see him grab a podium)
Kimi: Is the wheel...is it on now!? Ok I have no idea. Alfa: We forgot to connect, Kimi, you will not have the wheel...Sorry.. Kimi:No no, is the wheel nut on or not??? Alfa: You mean the small button that holds the wheel? O.o Kimi: No no Is the wheel spinning or not?! Alfa: No Kimi no, you will not have the wheel.
Exactly the same as Brazil 2019: Albon has a fantastic race, then gets spun around by Hamilton, Hamilton finishes on podium but then gets it taken away from a time penalty for what he did to Albon. A Mclaren driver gets his first podium.
Lewis Hamilton: "I genuinely try everything, that's why I leave drivers extra space" (What It Feels Like... To Race Wheel-To-Wheel In F1) Meanwhile, in real life: Pushes Albon wide twice and not giving enough space Edit: Thanks for the likes :)
I genuinely feel like Hamilton purposely went a little wider. Yes, fending Albon to a wider position before the turn is fair game, but just something with the direction of the car and Hamilton's sudden ability to steer to the right again after tapping Albon is a little bit sus to me.
@@223havoc You're perspective is a bit off. There are two edges in technologies, the rudimentary part and the bleeding edge part. This is where 70 years ago and f1 is at. Expect unreliability when the goal of the car is to very fast without the need of longevity. You might be looking at the wrong motor sports. You're looking for Rally Racing. This is where you will witness how car lasts after flying for a few feet and landing on one wheel and still goes so fast on the dirt road.
@@SimplyV3rna That's not all of it... The problem, as pointed out by @JT , is that you get same amount of points from DNF to 11th, so you have no motivations to finish the race, unless you score points. I think almost every place should have points and you should get a point penalty for DNF, to stop the BS of touching other car, puncturing a tire, etc. = DNF
@@Arjan_dv Well, he was the one who made the most out of the chaos in the last laps. So although he got pretty lucky with all the retirements, at least parts of it are deserved.
@@derChef98 If you consider a race which had everyone sit and wait 3+ hours post-race for the winner to be determined "classic" then you're either a Verstappen superfan or didn't watch the event at all
Me too. When the last lap started the gap was not enough but by the end of it lando came around and took the fastest lap and closed the gap to hamilton. The moment crofty announced lando's podium, I screamed so hard
No we do not! Can you imaging if the real world worked by rules like this? Hamilton totals Albon's car on the way to work. Hamilton required to be 5 minutes late to work and his insurance company doesn't pay any damages... This is VERY wrong! Hamilton should not be allowed to collect any points or credited with finishing the race and Mercedes should be penalized too.
4:02 Who would have thought that 2 months later I would be surprised to see a Ferrari overtaking a McLaren and a Racing Point in a space of 2 laps. Fucking embarrasing season
This was my first full F1 Grand Prix watch. towards the end of May into June i binged both seasons of Drive to Survive on Netflix. I don't have cable so I got an F1 TV subscription, kind of sucks I was only able to watch it now 2 days after the fact but I managed to not get much spoiled. it was a fun watch, excited for more soon!
Danny's retirement isn't in the video, Magnussen's brake failure, Grosjean's spin and break failure also not in the Video, Stroll's retirement and also Perez and Norris in the pitlane not in the Video !!! Come on
Their highlights used to be 10mins average...they had another 4 ish left to show those but I guess, editors are rusty 😒sucks cos I didn't actually watch this race so thanks for update I wondered what happened to them all.
