Super useful video. Love that a dealer actually puts out useful stuff, not just a sales pitch reading off a Ford brochure. To be honest I usually avoid dealer produced content because it is so over the top. It was very useful to see the carrier bearings, transfer case, and front axle in motion. Gave me a better overall impression of the Transit awd.
@@newbergford1777 In addition to this video which was awesome thank you. It would be awesome to have a tech explain the differences between this all-wheel-drive system and a four-wheel-drive F150 hybrid 10 speed transmission. There are a lot of current and future all wheel drive transit van owners who would like to know how easy it would be to convert their transit all-wheel-drive to be a hybrid with the 7.2 kg white pro on board power…
Perfect shots. Is there a lift kit available for the Ford Transit? Have been looking for this same video of the Ram Promaster 3500 extended and/pictures of the undercarriage.
Only 400 lbs payload capacity difference between the T150 & T250, I have on order the AWD T150 for like $4,000 less than the T250. It's only money as they say.
Cleanest damned undercarriage I've ever seen! EDIT: In watching this again I notice that the van has a front sway bar but no rear sway bar. What would be the reasoning for this? It was my thinking that ALL high COG vans should have a rear sway bar. I understand that the new 2022/3 350HD AWD DRW's have a rear factory sway bar installed - can anyone verify this?
While the Transit may not be a "true 4x4", it sounds like the system on the 2020 Transit is better than the Sprinter "4x4" system, which can't shift into 4x4 on the fly, can only send 33% of available torque to the front wheels, is more expensive and (reportedly) more noisy.
Imagine how much simpler everything would be if you had an electric van. I’m a van guy but really afraid of dropping 60K on an empty truck, then pumping thousands into a RV conversion.
Expensive maintenance on its way. I'll let everyone figure the problem on this design then ill trade my promaster. So 5 years from now 😆. I always love Ford after they fix all bugs of their designs.
