One of my favorite things about my M440i is that most people don't know what it is. I've not had a single person try to race me, & I've driven it for several months. Quite the contrast from my acura type S; that was a daily occurrence.

The scat is NA, what in the world are you talking about 😂😂😂 and I’m a bmw owner saying this. Put a blower on a hemi and it’s a new animal! Just not as easy as a downpipe and tune
@@matthewdeangelis9876 i owned a scat before I owned an m340i and I’m telling u with full bolt ons I made like 6-10hp more, if I wanted to procharge it or supercharge it I could only run 5-7 pounds of boost on the stock internals, and putting forged internals in it is crazy expensive, that being said with the m340i, downpipe, intake, charge pipe, tune I’m doing a reliable 500
I think you might have gotten him on the 40 roll, if you downshifted to 2nd gear. You would've got a way better jump than what you got. But great video any tho!
Now the 2025 charger will be coming with a engine similar to whats in the M340i but more power (550hp). Hopefully thats enough to make up for the fact that it will still be a boat
Man i stumbled back on to this video and reading your comment again your just wrong G. To say chargers just aernt meant to be fast off the line is inaccurate. Are they fast off the line? They aight but that’s like saying mustangs aernt meant to drag race because they rear wheel drive. Dodge built what they built and bmw built what they built. Like the 1320 scat ain’t awd and it’s literally built for 1/4 mile not roll racing my guy. The awd is obviously better for a dig. When they built awd hemi chargers it wasn’t to make them faster it was to make them more capable in inclement weather. M340 is available in rear drive and will out 60’ a charger all day everyday. To say a scat isn’t meant to be drag raced is jus asinine the bmw just does it better and wasn’t built as a drag car by any means.
1 big mistake you should have used your paddle shifters to control your gears in your scatpack. The rpm’s went up to 8k, and I’m sure the bmw used his. You loose so much if you left your car go up to 8k. Use your paddle shifters and shift at 5krmps
whoever driving the scat is sad😂 dont hear any downshifts on any of the rolls. scats racing way too low in the powerband. m340s are fast but my widebody has never lost to one
in my feelins never but put a better driver in it ‼️ starting a 40 roll in 3rd gear was all i needed to know about the driver. keep up the content lil bro

The only reason they beat the scat is because whoever was driving doesn’t know what his doing behind that wheel and your supposed to race in sport mode not track. I just beat a TRX and my widebody scat the other day in sport mode and when I changed it into track for some reason he almost beat me. So I would like for a rematch on this video.
What you saying doesn't make sense because on all rolls it was in sport, why everytime a car lose y'all think it's driver. Sometimes the cars just not fast enough
Don't know why everyone in the comments acting like scat packs are fast. They are heavy cars. The M340i is the better car period.....let's not even get into the tuning aspect of the B58. The scat is cool and all but the bimmer is better.
Yeah, I don’t want to take away from the scat pack, but honestly the M340i is on another level. Both look great, but the M340i has a way way nicer interior, better quality materials, better traction, the B58 engine and Zf8 trans is insane with tons of potential, gets way way better mpg for daily, and is very reliable.
@@Eddy-09 Honestly bro, My widebody scat was $60k, after it got stolen I went for a 2020 m340i that was only like $48k. Way better interior, more nimble, and just better all the way around. I do miss the attention and that exhaust note on the scat tho lol.

I just seen a non widebody scat 2020 for 45k.with 6k miles. Actually looked like a great deal fr. It was also decked out aftermarket spoiler diffuser and striped hood, and cai. 45k dealer price so you no their going for cheap now. Everyone is getting rid of their scats imo. The m340i is just better all the way around, and more practical daily
As a former owner of a 2018 m550i that tops out at 135 now I have a scat wide body that tops out at 177 how tf a BMW m340i beat it at the top stop talking sht is a nice car that depreciate like crazy got the BMW for 52k lost 20k in four years you BMW duds can talk i hope you have the maintenance money to back it up
Lemme explain something..... no SLOW car can do 180mph.... lol scats are fast as fuck...m340is are fast as fuck. Anythin thats doing 4 second 0-60s and can do 160mph quick is not slow.
@@eugeneward3199 Don't forget slide. Getting sideways in a scat makes it worth being a little slower. You gotta think the scat is gonna beat most cars on the road. But the m340i is what I own now and I wouldn't go back to a scat. I do miss the sliding aspect now that I'm AWD. Even with dsc off it doesn't compare. You go full traction off your liable to end up in a ditch lol. Not that brave
