@@josemedina6625 l do, but look it up how Toyota kept refusing their engine and other parts because it wasn’t to their standards, so bmw had to go back many times and redesigned things which would meet Toyotas requirements :)

2020 M340i here lol AKA non nerf'd G20 model. All engine with no Hybrid crap.

@@Ssh52 the 540i was smoother than my M340i for sure. My M340i doesn't have tire and cooling package which has the most smooth ride for an m340. but when I put it into comfort, it's definitely tolerable, my 4 year old doesn't complain. 540i is a dulled down b58 engine, understandable for the segment. m340 is muchhhh more fun!

factory tires on the supra are trash and the car tends to oversteer if pushed (which I like but it can catch less experienced off guard)

I like your comment lol. Nicely said. I personally don’t like when people say the supra and the bmw are the exact same cars. They aren’t! Just because of the engine… doesn’t make them the exact same. Bmw is a bmw. Toyota is a Toyota- sorry…

While I appreciate your perspective, I know many other people don't share this when it comes to cliché BMW drivers. From my perspective, I think most BMW drivers buy them purely as a status symbol--much like a lot of the euro cars. Also anything "blacked out" is not badass to me, it reeks of fuckboi. While the Supra does look more polarizing, its an actual sportscar so its supposed to. I know zero teens that own a Supra, so I wouldn't use youtuber supras as an accurate cross section of actual Supra owners. But I'm just some other guy with another perspective, nothing right or wrong just sharing.

I bought a supra just to put z4 badges and bmw badges all over it. Everyone looks at a blacked out car, whether that be a mustang, mercedes, hellcat, bmw, audi, even shitty japanese cars... as a bad ass car. When you drive in a purple supra i either think you're: A. A woman B. Feminine C. Micro-penised. A supra is basically a dodge challenger. Just makes no sense.... and is only in existance and in popularity because of fast and furious. Also saying the word 'fuckboi' like that as well obviously shows you aren't the target demographic for a bmw. you still have growing up to do. Soon you'll come around.

@@blocksource4192 because i use it as a true daily driver. The M2 is just a bit too harsh (stiff and loud) to live with every day. I do speeds in excess of 200km/h daily on the unrestricted highways and the m240i with myself driving is always the fastest car on the road. In fact if you check carwow comparing the M2 and m240i it beats the M2 to 60 (AWD). Also I never track the car so there’s that. If I did, only then could I justify the $20kUSD difference (in my country where I paid $100k USD for my m240i. 😭) between the 2 cars. Hope that answers your question! 👍

@@blocksource4192 The best way to know which car is better for you can probably be answered by one question: "Do you plan on taking your car to the track? If the answer is yes and often then definitely go for the M3. If the answer is no or only once in a blue moon then an M340i should be more than enough car for you. Unless you also have unrestricted highways where you live, an M3 limited to regular speed limits seems more like a poser car to me. You'll get all the cons (harsh ride, drone in traffic) and none of the pros (insane speed, handling, etc) just my 0.02c. 👍

@@fatehbawany9672 Honestly, its a great daily driver, I get great mileage around 30 mpg on the highway, and tbh I haven't had to pay for my service yet since I bought it new and got ToyotaCare from the manufacturer's warranty. From what I've heard from other A90 owners, it's cheap to maintain and modify (definetely cheaper service prices than BMW ironically). So far have had no issues, I've had about 14000 miles on the car so far and have an intake, HAS springs and some other minor mods on it. Drives like a dream and is fun as hell when you want it to be.

I"ve been daily driving my Supra since I purchased early 2022 and it is far and away the best choice I could have ever made. Gas mileage is truly amazing.....IF you have the discipline to not step on the gas 24/7. I will say that I have no such discipline and I always convince myself to enjoy the car I paid $60K+ for, but to reiterate, if you can control yourself to only stomping on the gas on the weekends, I think it'll be a great daily driver. Maintenance has been simple oil changes every 5K miles to be on the safe side and the car has had absolutely no issues (and that includes how hard I push the car on a regular basis). The engine is an absolute tank and it should continue to maintain it's value for years to come. Go for it!!@@fatehbawany9672

@@fatehbawany9672 I did nearly 43000 miles in a 2020 M340i touring (so slightly less aerodynamic than the saloon) - average consumption 8.2 l/100km or 28.9 mpg US; it's been quite consistent throughout (motorway at 80-90 mph = country roads at 50-65). First service (~20,000 miles) was £400, second service (~40,000) £500 as the spark plugs were also replaced.

You must not carry around much for it to be your daily. I’m snowboarding or mountain biking everyday so the sport back in the 440i GC is supreme. If you get a 340i you’re missing out

Noting really. Supra is really just tuned more aggressively is all in the case of gear ratio and etc. There's also the main difference between us and other mk5s in other countries. US mk5s only came with the 2 port head B58 in 2020 and later down the line they switched to having the 6 port head B58s. This isn't the case for other countries since emissions are stricter everywhere else so there stuck with the 2 port B58s unfortunately. Main difference I'd say is that the B58s in the mk5/Z4 have stronger hpfps than past gen/other B58s that can handle more power than other hpfps in other B58s.

Toyota didn’t change anything lol they just take the parts and manufacture the cars. The parts they work on a suspension and brakes. The gearboxes and engine are the exact same in any bmw with the b58

B58 was design and develop by bmw alone Toyota did not have a hand in designing the b58 platform but Toyota did put a technical updated engine in both the a90/a91 Supra those b58 with 0C/01 was technical update to the b58 in colaberation with bmw during testing phase but the engine is not exclusive to Toyota the technical updated engine was roll out on all the g series bmw m performance platform the update address many underlying issue of the original b58 which in itself was already a very reliable bmw engine to date but with Toyota collaboration on the updated variant the latest b58 now are simply the most bulletproof modern bmw engine ever made good enough that Toyota consider it reliable enough for a Toyota so in conclusion to the confusion Toyota did not have a say or involvement in the build or design of the engine but it had a say in the improvement of later variants of this engine this was confirmed by tatsuya tada chief engineer of the gt86/gr86 and Supra on how bmw engineer was shock by how destructive and tough the Toyota engine testing was on there original bmw engine and valuable information they provided bmw to update and rectify many underlying and unknown issue that was present in the early variant of bmw b58 contributing to the amazing b58 we know today so in a way the Supra b58 was not just a bmw engine but a bmw engine improve by Toyota the non exclusivity of the improvement and update makes people think it’s just normal bmw engine that is shared with other bmw models but it’s actually the other way round because of the Supra involvement with the b58 the other bmw get to have an even stronger and more reliable engine.

I have the Supra on this video. If this car will be your daily or commuter, don't get the Supra. If you are a growing family or will have kids in the near future get the M340 for the space. If this will be your weekend or fun car, garage queen, 2nd or 3rd car, get the Supra. It's so fun as a weekend and fun car. It really brings out the rowdiness in you as a driver.
