The bumper definitely makes the Si look a lot more aggressive! It would look even better if you paint matched the bumper to the car or wrapped the bumper a similar color to the car.
Hi Junior. I bought the exact same new bumper from eBay! I am so happy that you figured out how to install it. I am going to paint my bumper. Since I have a 2017 civic touring, requiring NH 788 Paint. This all started for me while I was on the freeway and the lower lip got loose and tore the tore part of the bumper including fender well covers on both sides. I do somewhat like the agressive look you have. I bought some Polyvance products; super cleaner and adhesion primer which is supposed to make painting easier. Just sharing that info with you incase you decide to paint.
You should wrap the aluminum in behind the fog lights before you do the wrap. Looks funny in my opinion haveing 2 rectangles on either side in behind the vents.
I almost went with the type r bumper but the front lip isn't accurate. ABS dynamics front lip has a great alternative with brake ducts, new splash guard & bottom grill if you want to keep OEM bumper.
I know I'm a little late with this comment -- but to install the Type R bumper, did you have to cut into or strip away any of the impact/reinforcement bar to make it fit properly? Does the crash bar push on or pop out the foglight cover/grill cover? Does the foglight cover/grill cover stay flush? Thanks in advance - I love your Civic videos! Giving me a lot of inspiration
How much was it? My front bumper just snapped so debating on having the insurance fixing it of getting a type R bumper since my buddy gave me the type r turn signals
Not feeling this mod at all.. You should've just bought a front lip because the 2020 front bumper with the color matching swoosh garnish looks fantastic.
Liked what you did with your SI bro! I did the same thing for my 2018 hatchback it made it look sick!! Even though I didn't paint the bumper because the car was a crystal blk pearl and it didn't look bad. But I trade it in for a 2020 civic SI in June, I wanted to do the same type r bumper but I noticed the Honda sensing in the front. And thats whats keeping me front doing it till I seeing your video when you first put it up but you I didn't or haven't catched how you fixed that issue, if even placed the sensing back or near where it should be. I would appreciate if you can help out thanks

You’re getting those errors on the dash because the left side front garnish has a cover for the radar. You need to swap the 2020 bumper garnishes back if you want your Honda Sensing to work properly.
I own a 2020 SI. I don’t see the need of replacing your bumper for a Type R. It really looses the concept of an SI (in my opinion) I would rather see you wrapping your car instead of changing the bumper.
I’m gonna do this to my si but not because I want to replace the si bumper. I have a dent and figure this would just be a little upgrade and it is cheaper than buying the type r lip and a new si bumper since I am going to wrap my full car anyways
