A humble humanitarian, a Southwestern National treasure who had glorious pipes. Linda...still.

Linda you are my hero, the more I know about you ,the more you surprise me, thank you so much, blessings.

I had the honor, once in my life, to see and hear Linda in concert. I think it was around 1980 at the "Tennis Center" in Indianapolis and I believe Heart opened for her. It was in the middle of July and a million degrees with no shade. Then... this little, petite young lady gets up on stage and filled the stadium with a voice so pure and powerful and honest that I'll never forget it. There are two wonderful ladies - both of whom are amazingingly under-appreciated - that I want God to grant me to sing at my funeral - Karen Carpenter and Linda Ronstadt. I would give anything to have had the opportunity to see them sing together... You're still with us, Linda. I lost my lady of 22 years to complications of Parkinson's... My heart is with you.

I just finished watching on RU-vid the 1981 performance of Pirates of Penzance videotaped in 1981 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Needless to say, it was absolutely glorious, and quite the "treat" on this Halloween night. I said a prayer of gratitude for all the artists who made it possible, but especially Linda Ronstadt. I cannot express how much her music and her knowledge about music has enriched my life. Imagine my delight when this video appeared on my RU-vid queue. I had just seen her in the excellent new documentary "Linda and the Mockingbirds" but that was filmed in 2019. To see her looking and sounding so well, and hearing that she is still engaged in work that is important to her was so gratifying. Had seen an interview from years back with Ms. Ronstadt and Ms. Huerta discussing their advocacy and activism on behalf of immigrants. How poignant that it was she who presented the award to a very humble and grateful Ms. Ronstadt! I am eager to learn more about your organization and specifics about laws you support or oppose. God bless you for helping the most vulnerable among us. Thank you for posting this video and giving us an opportunity to see our beloved Ms. Ronstadt receiving this honor. I suspect this means much more to her than any Grammy she ever won!

thank you Linda Ronstadt.. I am the product of farm workers,. I worked fields.. it taught me to work hard to work inside! I love my parents.. instilled strong work ethic and what they did not want their children to do!

Linda Ronstadt will always have a special place in my heart. It was Linda Ronstadt's "Prisoner In Disguise" from the mid 1970's is how I found Emmylou Harris. Their duet version of "The Sweetest Gift" is some of the most beautiful vocals and harmonies I ever heard in my life. I immediately went out and bought Emmylou's "Elite Hotel" album. One of the many highlights of that album is Linda and Fayssoux Starling hamonizing with Emmylou for about the last minute of the song "Till I Gain Control Again". They sound like Angels. I never heard anything like it. It has to be one of the most beautiful musical moments in the history of recorded music. The interviewer kinda lost his composure after his more than 3 minutes long introduction, Linda asked him if she "can make a small correction, first?" I had to laugh. You could tell he wasn't expected to be corrected about something he just said. Linda's not afraid to speak up. It reminded me of the time she "took issue" (her words) with Robin Quivers over Howard Stern on Jay Leno's late night show several years ago. She caught Robin off guard.

In 1968 I was a mexican American young girl being raised in Alhambra, my parents were imigrants. But I was raised elementary public school, later in catholic school. My mother gave me a battery radio. I began listening to Miss Ronstand on the radio. My respects for her, as we say in Mexico cause I reside in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico. Te queremos Linda. A good, strong, decent, intelligent and incredibly talented person - Linda shone here even though Bruce hasn't yet made it as an interviewer ... wonderful to have been a fan of Linda since 1978 and grateful that she is such an excellent example of what it is to be humane...

I am a huge fan of Linda as everyone on this thread is, but I wish I could have lunch with her in Asheville, NC sometime. She is just awesome.

I didn't know that Linda Ronstadt sang with Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. I'm surprised she would sing the Beach Boys songbook. I still like her singing and performing. My favorite songs are "Somewhere Out There", "Dreams to Dream", "Heartbreaks Accelerating", and "Winter Light". I'm also glad she's helping others who need their help, including farmers and their food supplies.

It's funny how people don't embrace their Irish, Scottish, Danish whatever when they are 1/4 of it, but if it's something seen as exotic they embrace that more than anything else. I love Linda, but she's far more German, English etc... and really only less than a 1/4 Mexican. Her dad was German, English & Mexican & her mother English, German & Dutch. She is so graceful & wise about her physical condition & one of the best singers ever. Whatever the case; she is so generous to help people that way. Obama started that mess with the cages, though no one will admit that he caged thousands more than goofy Trump. Our identity politics has caused people to not be able to be upfront and honest about their own side anymore.

Just because someone gains celebrity status does not mean they know what they are talking about. Most times they do not, because they have spent their time studying their craft, not the law, and nothing about it. Germans must mind the law and pass citizenship in order to be in this country. The same with Swiss, French, English, Australian, African and every other nationality in the world, but Mexicans don't have to? Why?
