We just purchased the exact same truck with the 6.5 ft. bed and only 22k miles on it, apparently `turned in after a 3 year lease. The video is spot-on! It's everything and more with all the bells and whistles you could possibly want.
Personally, I like the look of the 2018-2020 F-150 more than the 2021. I think the 2021 looks fine, but it reminds me of the 2015-2018 GMC Sierra. If you happen to prefer that look, then more power to you. I just find it a little too conservative for my taste. By the way, don't discount the naturally aspirated 3.3L V6 engine if you're shopping for an F-150 on a tight budget. Unless you live at a high elevation or plan to do a lot of towing and heavy duty hauling, you probably won't need an EcoBoost engine. My 3.3L V6 F-150 is my daily driver, and I've also used it to haul furniture. It's been great so far.
I wish F150s came with leather in the middle part of the steering wheel and have stitching running down both sides. It would make the interior a lot better. In higher trims at least.

Easy answer for me. If you’re wanting an EcoBoost, wait for the 2021 because they look good and there will be improvements we don’t know about yet. If you’re wanting a 5.0 it’s a toss up for me. Reason being the 2021 5.0 will have cylinder deactivation. All that will do is reduce the reliability and might save you a couple pennies per fill up. Really disappointed Ford is doing that. The 5.0 has always been a solid motor.
Last year I left my Tundra and get my Lariat v8 2019...best decision ever...I'll get the new 2021 end of December...the best truck ever..rides smooth and v8 coyote doesn't need comments...only thing that's bother me is the cylinder deactivation..
Well done. If prospective buyers would like an F-150 but want to lower cost and increase their savings, an STX is a great option. You can customize it over time and your wallet won’t be crying. But, if you’re someone who has to have all the nice features, you’ll have to pay for those features.
There is no longer an XLT black out edition or special edition in the 21s. Not to mention they went up 5k if you want it properly equipped. The tailgate step is now an extra $100 now compared to before just for example. I'd say stick with a 2020 if you want to buy a new f-150
My new ford and a lot of other peoples newer fords have been adding miles when the vehicle is off. Mine went up an extra 10,000 miles in a year and ford is denying it. Write your mileage down every time you’re done driving and keep track. Ford needs to take accountability for this.
My truck is exactly like this, led headlights and all. But maybe 3k cheaper though. So far I'm loving it. Plan on getting the new raptor if ford gets everything right.

This is not the Lariat grille. This is essentially an STX grille. Which would explain why it looks pedestrian. I love the black appearance package, but the grille is my one big complaint. Considering getting a body color Lariat sport appearance take off grille to replace my black appearance package stx grille.
Not sure if it’s true or not but I heard that the 2021 will not be offering a “Black Appearance Package”. Not that important cause I have the 2020 black appearance as shown here with the 502A package, beautiful truck with the 3.5L EcoBoost Twin-Turbocharged V6 and it tows like a beast. Just Saying!!

Is a 2016 white on black leather 3.5L Lariat FX4 with 53k miles at 40k worth it? Private party no tax. What can I expect for depreciation on this? Is it a good investment? Over a Tacoma? It has a lot of aftermarket on it as well about 8k in add ons, wheels, tires, leveling kit, 6.5 bed, rear heated seats, twin panel moon roof. Air bags, upgraded leaf springs for extra tow custom, truck is from Canada make not MX?
The Lariat Black Appearance Pkg must be a region-specific offering; I have never seen on e of these in my corner of the US southeast. Perhaps it’s Canada only?
Not always the case my friend. When Car & Driver compared the Chevrolet Silverado High Country and the Ford F-150 Limited, the Ford was actually heavier and quicker. Those panoramic roofs on the Fords add a lot of weight.
If you got a good deal one I’m sure some in the market would take the note up if you wanna switch up but you’ll be starting over a lot of people wouldn’t mine 10k cheaper one year used but not enough has changed to warrant a upgrade for me I bought a basic 2019 and just sold it for exactly what I owed I might wait on the cybertruck or get the ram rebel...ford still penny pinching and not giving out enough features in its cars lost lead in Explorer skipped the mustang and barely got anything new for the f150..I’m willing to bet the will start packing a lot of features or dropping prices
Hi , I just got the 2020 lariat and I noticed that you can’t open the tailgate while engine is running. Do I have to do program something for it to open? Thanks in advance
could you get different grilles? I have a 2020 stx that has this grille. I’ve been looking for a 2020 lariat sport but it seems most of them have the grille with 2 horizontal bars. Also I want a supercab configuration but not seeing any supercab lariat sports with this stx style grille. Does this configuration exist?
