You are. a life saver! I have had this problem since moving to the PNW, and thought that the issue was the persistent seattle rain. My prinsu had a small leak, but I fixed that months ago and my carpets have only become more and more mildewy. I need to show this video to my ford dealer so they can finally start taking me seriously and fix my carpets!!! Thank you!
I had the same issues with my 2014 Ranger XLT... I've found that I was able to reach the drainage port for the opposite side of the motor from which this videos shows. Its a bit of work getting your arm to reach, but not impossible. Once I was able to reach the drainage, all I did was place a old phone charger cable in the hole to un clog it, then I ran the truck for about 15 -20 min and sure enough, water was dripping constantly. Hope this help!
wow i find it funny that I have the global version of the For Ranger with a diesel inline 4, and have the same problem! Curious if that same part can be used to fix my problem!!!!
Thanks for the very informative video. I have water on my driver's floorboard of my 2019 Ranger and it turns out to be the same problem as the truck in your video. Unfortunately for me, mine is no longer under warranty. You think there's any chance of getting to this plug without having to drop the tranny? Maybe from underneath? I've also thought of maybe trying to just channel the water and poke a hole through the floorboard. Do you have any suggestions for me? Thanks in advance.
From what I can remember, there is virtually no room to work, if I would have had to try and fix this one, I would try to drop the back of the transmission down and see if that created enough room to get in there, best of luck
