Great setup, But need a daytime video. or an mid evening video. The camera is just mess with these. And you cant see the output of them. How well do they reach, what distance? Anything is bright looking directly at it.
Number 1, white is meant to be secondary color. Number 2, that much white to the rear is absolutely dangerous and ineffective. Remember, if the other drivers can't identify the vehicle as a vehicle, the lights are useless and the truck is totalled likely. Just a thought.
Also from what I hear not 100% yet but I think NFPA has/are going to make it where there will be no white to the rear. I know Ohio is starting to work on no white to the rear and maybe even no white at all
No white to the back has been in an NFPA thing for quite a number of years. Same as no white when parked/blocking. And remember even if you don't necessarily have to legally follow NFPA, NFPA is considered an industry standard and will be used to beat you in civil court.
Too bad there isn't a setting where it is only red that they could easily switch to when stationary or on scene... Yes they could have done a red/amber on the rear for code 1/ code 2, but during the day rear facing white is nice for the added visibilty. If you don't like it do your build a different way
@@swatarawarninglights the picture provided was the final setup and I was not really able to see how the surface mount were tied into the wiring/outputs to make them work but thank you!
never understood why they give you a "code 1" sticker. code 1 is no lights respond at youre convince with the flow of traffic, code 2 is lights, and code 3 is lights and serein
Wow that's really nice, I have a similar setup on my 2020 sierra with the quad interior and surface mounts in the grill. Looking to switch out to lightbar on roof instead. What roof mount did you use for the lightbar and do you recommend this or a headache rack and mount? What would be easier to install?
that white to the rear is the worst for drivers behind you, I never have ANY white to the rear in my opinion traffic doesn't do crap with the white, I'd rather do just amber.
Remember, if they don’t pull over immediately, just annoy the shit out of them until they get tired of being in front of you. Then blind the crap out of them with the rear warning on your way past.
