Changed the Headlights from HID to LED. These headlights were purchased through Amazon. The brand is Hikari. And the bulb size for the 2019-2020 Elantra is 9005. Follow me on Instagram: @itscassyfrost
This is the most ridiculous way to change the headlight bulb. The right hand side can be changed without taking out a single screw. The left side hand, simply just removed the wheel hub cover and you can access to the bulb. 🤦♂️ This is 5 minutes job. What are you doing there? I own a same car.
Could have pulled out the clips in wheel well then pulled back wheel well and stuck your hand up in and pulled it out that way without pulling the whole front end off. Took me 30 mins to do both.
Do you wanna easily to change headlight bulbs ? There is a way to make it faster, you dont need to turn out a front bumper !! Just turn you steering wheel to max left or right, than under the wing, pull out fasteners from top to down, and the last one under the front bumper unscrew 1 bolt (on 14 keysize 🔧), than carefully bend the protection to the other side of the wheel and you have an access to change all bulb headlights front and turn signals. Use this knowledge to make your life easier !
Sergio Torres, the brand is Hikari, and for the headlight bulb it’s 9005. Don’t worry about the error code, it’s going to pop up. Idk why Hyundai did that. You will just need to add a resistor to connect to the bulb for the error code to not show up anymore. We might make a future video about that if more people are curious about it. For the 2020 model Elantra, I noticed that the error only pops up when you leave the lights on auto. So I manually turn on the headlights when I start the car. It’s weird. Hope this all makes a little bit of sense 😁
I have the same exact car, color and everything. I absolutely LOVE what you did with the grill blacking out the chrome. Please give me all the info you can on that. I definitely want to upgrade the bulbs to LEDs and black out the grill. Ill probably leave the rims for now. My idea is flat black all crome and then black powder coat the rims then put a huge Empire decal in the back window. 😎👍🏻
Thank you!! We’ve since done more to the car too such as wrapped the roof and pillars black, and also installed a front lip splitter. Makes a huge difference to the look! But the whole grill is just 3 coats of black Plasti dip, and then 2 coats glossifier. Prep work took a lot of time, but ended up just painting the entire grill later on. So the entire grill is blacked out now. But Love the idea of powder coating your wheels, hope you get some black lug nuts to match!
Did you get a warning on your cluster when you changed the drl’s? I changed them to led lights and im getting a warning for the drl. Do you know how I could fix it?
Yes a warning will show up when you change out both DRL and the main headlight. So I would suggest getting a resistor. Because the car just doesn’t recognize it and thinks the headlight is not compatible. In the meantime I would suggest leaving your headlights turned above auto. If you turn them all the way off or leave them on auto the warning sign will pop up every time you turn the car on. I’ve been leaving the dial on the DRL and Headlight and warning signs don’t show up.
I was wondering why someone would change hid to led. But then realized they didn't know what hid was obviously. They come stock with halogen bulbs. However I bet this car lost visibility at night with this install.
Quick question, I just got a 2020 Hyundai Elantra Value Edition brand new. I looked up these headlights and Amazon states that the lights do not fit my car. Did you have the same issue and how are the lights hold up since this video was made
As long as the bulb size is 9005, it will fit this car. You’ll get an error code, but that can be fixed with a resistor. Or just always leave your lights switched above auto. And the lights are still working amazing! Couldn’t be happier with how they look and how much aggression it adds to the car!
Yes the 2019 and 2020 model can fit the exact same headlight bulbs. The one’s we installed were from Amazon. They are the Hikari Brand. Just look for the 9005 bulb size.

I have a 2020 hyundai elantra SEL, and I recently switched the DRL to led and they bring up a error code constantly how did yall fix that? Please help asap.
How are the headlights holding up? Just bought the next step for hikari, the ultra, and hoping they're good. Tried lasfit leds and they wouldn't clip on the connector
Haven’t had any problems with them at all! They’re amazing and I love how much better LED’s look on this car! The only thing is with this new car is would need a resistor in order for the light warning to not pop up. But I just keep my headlights always above auto so I don’t get the message

If you are referring to replacing both the headlights entirely, then yes you can. You can get a set of 2020 Elantra Headlights for around $400. The wiring is just a tad different for LED Lighting. If you're not referring to that, then I'm not sure how to replace certain pieces within the headlight lamp. Hope this answered your question!
Osiel Hernández the way you can switch out the headlights bulbs, both DRL and main headlight is to install a resistor, or canbus detector. Since this video has blown up with questions about that, we will probably make a video of how to solve that issue, so stay tuned! In the meantime, I would recommend keeping your headlight dial turned past auto. If you leave the headlights on auto then the error code will show. So I always turn the headlight dial above auto. And it doesn’t effect anything because the lights turn off when the car is off anyways. So maybe try that for now until we post another video of how to fix this issue.
@@eddiequezada7738 Unfortunately don’t have an exact link because a family member bought the DRL light for us but as long as you get the bulb size 7528 for the DRL’s, you’ll be good!

Jorel Castro we used the Rust-Oleum Black Lens Tint. Sprayed 3 coats. And yes it’s completely transparent so you can still see the lights clearly. I personally wouldn’t recommend doing any more than coats 4 though. And it’s really easy to come off as well. Just use brake cleaner to rub it off. Just make sure not to get brake cleaner in the car’s paint.
I got the same car and I want to change my stock lights too these as well. But I'm a beginner. Is there a easier way to do it without taking the bumper off? Also I been reading the comments about a warning? I don't want to have to keep the lights above auto as I like it there, so what can I do to not get that warning and leave it on auto? I may never end up doing this but if I ever some day because I would love too. Thanks for sharing, looks amazing, jealous!
There is a way to replace the headlights without taking the bumper off. They just left hardly any space to change them out. If you have small hands you probably can, but we couldn't as shown in the video. Also, for the warning, the DRL warning pops up because we put an aftermarket light in there. If you want the warning to go away, you will have to get a resistor. Hope this makes sense!
