Great review. I just checked now. the diesel they installed is the same R 2.2 on sorento and santa fe. I believe you have driven the sorento or santa fe before. have you noticed any difference between the palisade vs santa fe 2.2 given the fact that palisade is longer and heavier? wow I like that that auto close feature. and the auto reduce of speed, I think I saw the settings on my 2017 sorento. I have never tried yet. One of this days I will try lol that end unedited test... put more the un edit on your future reviews... :)

I loved the stop and go function. But i think here in the philippines, this might not be efficiently used as there are motorcycles that will instantly cuts your way as soon they see small spaces. hahahah

I am seeing Telluride all over my city. They are selling as fast as they can get them. I really like the interior of the Palisade better. So maybe Genesis will create a hybrid with a Telluride exterior and a Palisade interior. hehehe.. Since VW auto group has discontinued diesels in America.. (at least for the last few years and maybe never bring it back.. :-( ... ) With the exception of truck based products... no car or SUV style diesels here. I would love to see a diesel product from the Hyundai auto group sell in the U.S. I can dream...

I sell KIA products here in the U.S. KIA keeps promising a turbo diesel in the Sorento, and (I wish the Telluride), but continues to avoid the topic.

This and Telluride would definitely benefit from a hybrid, better yet PHEV, torque and towing were pretty low.

Is diesel prices more or less than gasoline in Korea? Here in America, at least in my area, diesel is more than premium gas (91 octane). Mazda just introduced a diesel CX-5 for the U.S. The CX-5 would compete with the Hyundai Tuscon. The diesel was delayed for many years and it was promised that it will not require urea after treatment. But now, Mazda is saying that it will require urea and the horsepower and mileage is not impressive. Plus, the diesel is only available on the top trim. And the price difference between the equivalent trim gas and diesel is $4,000. WOW!!!! And the MPG difference is only a few MPGs. Auto start/stop is useless and very annoying. Sit at traffic signal in 90 degree outside temps and have the car and AC shut off. Over the period of 3 year, you'll save about $90 in fuel. Then blessed with replacing the starter for about $1200. I had the feature permanently turned off on my 2019 Santa Fe.

What do you prefer? Gas or Diesel?

Due to its humongous size, road tax structure, big engine capacity (for petrol version) and our sh***y and slow official Hyundai distributor here, I don't think this baby will be selling here in Malaysia.. The biggest that we will get only Hyundai Santa Fe..
