It’s far better than anything I own. When it came out I thought it was so cool. As time went by, the Lonestar grew less and less on me. It now reminds me of the Chrysler PT Cruiser of trucks. But, I get it. It’s an aero compromise. I understand what they are going for. To each his own. I suppose it’s a way of attracting the classic truck person in an aero package
Funnily enough, this truck model came out when I first started trucking. Seeing one of these gaining on you was pretty cool because it's front end kinda looks like a train. But everyone use to always talk crap about how ugly it was. Now I get it, as most of them back then seen it as an aero truck that was trying to dress like a cowboy truck. Then people started talking crap about the W990 for the same reasons. After 10 years out here and seeing every cowboy truck on the road, I still can appreciate this truck. The aero trucks are here to stay, there is just no way to compete with them if you are running a hood. I still think the lonestar is the best attempt at a hybrid aero/classic truck, not to mention the luxury you get with these things!
Y’all suck on interiors. Open something, lift seats, something. Y’all don’t demonstrate anything where the driver spends most of his time. Yes. The exterior is nice. But we don’t drive on the outside.
Ya know, despite being the absolute best looking truck on the road, I agree with you. I was blown away by this interior. I expected it to be exceptionally different. But it's instead super basic. As I'm sure there are better interior models, this was surprising.
Bring in 138 cash in a briefcase, and tell them you want a Microwave, 32 inch TV, 3 year dish package, Bigger Fridge with a freezer, a CB, and a brand new GPS of your choice. When they hesitate and almost laugh, pull out your wallet and drop 2 more grand cash on their desk. ----- SOLD !!!! Just sayin'.
