Love the kind words and yes we have a pretty cool job. Just so you know, we spend about a week scripting in editing for every day we spend riding. We are thrilled you appreciate the work.
Great video 📹👍the Kawasaki Teryx is one awesome machine 👏just checked one out today at a show on display. Would definitely like to take one out for a rip and own one soon😍😍😍what an awesome ride! Please make more videos of it 😍🏁😀💯.
Best review of this machine that I’ve seen! Pretty impressed for Kawasaki’s first go in this market. Seems to fill the niche the Wildcat XX tries to fill with hopefully less quality issues
Best review, love that! Kawasaki Prides ourselves on their durability. I have a feeling that that was at the Forefront of their development of this machine. Time will tell but it looks great so far.
True the xx has had some issues but people tend to be very harsh on arctic cat or Textron do to the history which it deserves they where junk I had to see the xx in person, and seeing the way it was put together and the Yamaha engine had me sold But I was also looking at the x3 xrc and the Xp turbo as well but just wanted to be different and liked the xx more it is a damn good machine and it deserves more credit than it gets it rails threw whoops and nasty terrain like no machine I’ve ever driven the seating position and stance feels so stable in really off camber technical terrain I drove xp turbos and x3s it will hold it’s own in a lot of places.
Looks like a fun unit and should do well. I've owned two Can Ams, both the x3rs 72wide cars and sold them both after driving my buddies XX. We race class 6100 spec trophy trucks so we needed a side by side that can handle true desert pre-running. The can am fell apart all the time, has dog shit suspension geometry with massive bump steer and track width change, plus has every pivot on single shear. Picked up a new XX and couldn't be happier. Small valving change made the car a little beast over really big holes. Long story short, hopefully the Kawi is built just as strong as the XX because I want to see anything other than another Maverick running in the desert. Those piles of shit are out right dangerous with the way they are built
@@KC-7mm don t buy a xp turbo, I have one 2019 and it s the most unreliable utv especially if you beat the shit out of it... looking to sell it and buy a kawa...
No secret, we run ATV on demand as well. Totally agreed! Kawasaki could re-release that unit with a few minor updates and it would be a great addition to a sparsely populated Market.
I'm watching the speedy action shots of a poorly set up suspension. It looked like compression was backed off but not the rebound presumably for fear of packing, but the suspension was bouncing over stuff. Lowering the ride height in the front might help the pushing we see in corners. I'm used to my Polaris 1000S that is twitchy over 50 mph in 2 wheel drive because of its sharp handling and is a totally different machine.
Ed did not complain of the car being bouncy. He did mention wanting to lower the ride height and tune crossovers a bit. Running compression all the way soft, the suspension still didn't pack up in the whoops. we think you're right, you could definitely take some preload out. We hope to do some more tuning in the near future.
Great job on the video folks! Love The Styling , love the size, love the build quality, love the interior, love the bed, love the interior room, love the suspension and with all that said I'd love to have it when it comes out with MORE POWER because it looks doggy. I would absolutely love to see a shootout between this, the Honda Talon, and The Wildcat XX, but my opinion it seems the Talon would have more spunk. With a little MORE POWER under the hood I think this would probably be the best trail rig on the market!!!
We love that you took the time to watch and comment. Delivering a shootout with the wildcat might be difficult as we don't think Arctic Cat is making them readily available to the media. Now, Talon versus krx...
@@bbreckner9884 we wouldn't count this machine out yet. Getting beyond that top speed will probably be very easy. We will update you when we know more.
So far all i can say is Kawasaki came out swinging. All the hate is completely unfounded. Heavy yeah ish but its the wet weight and its already beefed up. Hp is right on par with machines that have been out since the begging, and there is a company making a turbo kit if you really wanna race. The krx is a rock crawling trail blazing beast and loves the mud. The 10 gallon fuel tank takes me every where and i always feel safe with the 8 point cage. I think that its more jellousy than hate honestly lol.
Lol 99% of people aren’t racing they are trail riding muddling and rock crawling I love Kawasaki’s just wish I could make myself spend the money for one so like you said just jealousy or fan boys
@@rustybasinger6444 I'm seeing more and more on our eastern wooded trails.. Lots of happy owners going every bit as fast as anyone else in a SXS through the woods.. keep them under the speed limit or just plain off the pavement and the power seems pretty appropriate..
Just drove this machine- many of the same trails as featured here in MOAB, Utah. It was a blast- easily the best looking UTV out there IMO with the performance to back it up. My WISH LIST for this machine... Please use a traditional transmission that will deliver more power to the ground and is impervious to water (not a CVT) Add 30 more HP, better glove box, better, color HD display, built in stereo and a park setting and please get rid of that gate shifter on the floor. It's not smooth- frustrating to operate. Even an electronic option would be superior. Add 4 point seat-belt harnesses. It needs better fender guards for sure. I definitely had mud/water getting into the cabin too often and I was barely in mud/water (mostly dry conditions)- I can't imagine on a wet day or being in even a shallow creek/crossings- it was an obvious issue. Although the above seems like a long list- this machine is still relatively class leading as is with only a few exceptions. It's price/value is also strong (good). If I lived out West it would be a toss up between this and the YXZ1000 (has a real transmission). The wider width on the East coast isn't allowed in many places but it works out there- very stable and smooth. The suspension on the KRX was incredible- I did many of those same whoops and I barely felt them- inspired a lot of confidence. The clearance was also outstanding- came down some very steep hills that abruptly ended and I didn't hit the front. It felt very solid. I also appreciated having the ability to select a crawl mode- it works great and can control you on steep descents and also limit the throttle- just gave me a sense of more control. The ability to carry a spare on the back is great. The large tires went over everything easily. Rode all day on just under 1 full tank of gas. BREAKDOWN.... Suspension- Clearly it's strong suit Ergonomics/Looks/Cockpit, overall interior- mostly strong suit Transmission- I would call this it's weak point- but it worked ok Weight- heavier than the others, but I would almost call this a strong suit. It felt very solid and rode well, even on the road thanks in part to it's heft and longer wheel base. THe downside can be a little under-steer if pushed hard in the turns. Everything has it's trad-offs. Metal shields and full skid plates- Definitely noisier and heavier than plastic but offers more protection so overall it's a plus. They could add some material to deaden the sound. Overall performance- Strong (not the fastest with some CVT lag, but was a ton of fun for general mixed riding!) Value- Very Good Warranty- Only 6 months so not so great OVERALL This machine is great with some room for improvement. I expect they will improve future models incrementally over time. They will likely start slowly by bumping up the HP and adding larger fender flairs (easy fixes). It will likely only get better. For those in a rush, there is also the aftermarket.
17:06 you said the tire and wheel package is 1500$ upgrade for many. Do you mean for many other brands? Or for many buyers? It comes stock as shown with the 31s, correct?
Man I was down in Columbus Ga at Extreme Power sports filming some of the toys and the KRX was one I actually sat in and just sitting in that mean green beast felt exhilarating for real I agree with the guy in the comments it has some nice features but could benefit from a lil weight loss. However I watched a video of a couple kids taking there pops RZR out and a stick impaled the underbody so them metal plates protecting you the rider or passenger is another great thing. Sorry I’m late to this video love you guys content
@@andrewc9234 that's tough. Not speaking for all of our drivers, just one person, the Honda has been out a little longer so they have had more opportunity to fix any first-run issues. We would expect both machines to be pretty durable so it would probably come down to which features are most important. The Honda seems a little smaller inside and out. The Kawasaki has more interior room. I think the Honda is a little quicker and I personally prefer shifting gears. However, the Kawasaki has front differential lock which is important too many drivers.
The only indication we have is that at their dealer meeting they said Kawasaki want's to become the leader in the sport segment so there will certainly have to be models coming. When that will happen and what the models will be is unknown at this time. Sorry we don't have more info.
Someone convince me to buy this instead of the Talon X! I really like how Kawasaki out of the gate gives you a 3 year warranty. But I really think the Hondas DCT will be maintenance free and I'm leaning more towards it.
I’m not trying to be that person but if you want something I think the best options are Polaris and can am. They have a better suspension, a lot more power, and plus they’re a lot smaller.
You’ll save a lot of money by getting the KRX…. It’s built a lot more tough, between the axels and front ends it’s worth it.. has the same HP as the 1000cc SXS like Mavericks and RZR 1000
We don't get paid by Kawasaki, they just give us the opportunity to drive the machine and give our honest opinion. We'd be happy to answer any questions you have. Thanks.
Kawasaki needs to make this in a 60” wide version. Everything about it is great except the power, it’s just too heavy. 112 hp isn’t enough for a 2000 lb machine. A smaller and lighter 60” version would be much more sporty.
A 60" version would be cool. We wouldn't say it's too heavy we would say it just needs more horsepower. They're built like tanks and that's a good thing. Come on Kawi, give us the Turbo
Are there enthusiast websites for side by sides? I have a horse trailer with a sleeper I am trying to off load that would be perfect for hauling a side by side.
We think if anything, it just needs to be uncorked. We have added a lot of weight to other machines in an effort to make them stronger. Here is betting that some of the RZR 1000s we have built in the past wind up as heavy as the Kawasaki. If the krx proves to be as durable as it looks we have a hard time faulting them for building it a little heavier and tougher.
@@UTVonDemand youre right, i completely agree. I dont think durability will ever be an issue. Im sure the aftermarket will get the power up with an ecu tune. Cant wait to see these out on the trail.
A diet might removed too much muscle mass. Could make it more fragile. How about a torque increase along with a HP boost. I think it's robust enough to handle it.
as well, it would be great if you would compare in a big and faire test all NON turbo driven new machines, Honda, yamaha, wildcat xx, rzr sport, can am sport, Kawasaki, in trial, whoops and rockcrawling....this is missing!!! be first !
@@UTVonDemand I probably shouldn't have made that comment since it's probably what your viewers are interested in but being a past motorcycle dealership owner it reminded me of what the manufacturers video would be like at the dealer meetings whenever they would launch a new machine.
@@dandersonjr you're good. We honestly just wondered what made you think that. We typically have good footage to work with and are pretty passionate about the sport so it's not surprising that we come off enthusiastic. I do believe that we cover items that we believe could be an issue to some people like the fact that it's not the fastest in top speed or acceleration while trying to point out the things that the machine does well. The only comments like this that ever get under our skin are where we're being accused of taking money from the manufacturers, which we do not.
That's pretty subjective, different drivers would give different answers. Guys who don't have racing experience tend to like the active suspension machines for the confidence inspiring stability and smooth landings off big jumps.. But racers like Allen Knowles who have more experience with driving competitively tend to use body roll to their advantage. Check out the UTVonDemand 2020 Honda Talon X4 and X4 live valve first impression video because Allen explains this concept and the difference in driver experience. After that, the question becomes clutch preference, turbo vs NA machines, and which vehicle design you're personally comfortable with.. UTVonDemand is currently working on covering some of the topics specifically in more depth..
@@dirtobsexxionvlogs4892 Thanks, so no active suspension for me, na vs turbo is just budget, and the look of the machine doesn't matter. This doesn't narrow down the field much. Any idea on what the majority of racers use?
@@caseyjones8246 Sorry to give you a non-answer... But I'm trying to help you narrow down your selection. It's tuff to answer what racers in general prefer because many of them, especially in BITD and Other Pro races, are often modded beyond recognition.. There are tons of racing series and SXS options and the riding your describing I would call general use but aggressive riding.. If you're looking to race, look at the rules for series you want to race in.. That will help you narrow down your selection.. There is no single best best machine out there. Just a combination of features and compromises to get the most out of how you want to ride.
Casey Jones If you’re going to be mudding and rock crawling go for one of the cvt transmission machines. If you like shifting banging through gears rallying I would go with sequential shift yxz. Though I’ve took some pretty nasty hills no problem in my yxz.
That could be said for almost any of the naturally aspirated cars. However, let me assure you, the Kawasaki handles and has much better suspension than the old Can-Am. It's also built better.
You're right, we're in bed with him, that's why we criticize the flat mid-range power, the sight line over the hood, the weight unless it proves to be durable, the fact that we wanted more bolstering in the seats, the fact that the front end pushed when you drove aggressively until we tune the suspension, the fact that the brake and gas pedal are a little clothes for people with larger feet. There is a lot to like about this machine but if you feel like we didn't criticize it then you're not paying attention. Your attention skills are poor. Get off the internet and go read a book.
Just like every motorcycle, there are massive import duties and restrictions based on engine capacity. Keeping it under 1 liter alleviates them from the next higher bracket. Remember, these engines are developed for worldwide usage. You never thought about why 50cc bikes are 49cc or 600's are 599?
Well then Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, KTM, Husqvarna, gas gas, Maico, cagiva, Can-Am, Husaberg, CZ, ATK, Harley-Davidson, Bultaco, and any other company must have been copying the first company who made a dirt bike and it's probably a good thing that that happened so we're pretty glad that other companies have in your opinion, copied the RZR.
Low power mode works exceptionally well in chunky Terrain. We have a feeling this machine will be extremely relevant for those looking for a side-by-side that can survive a financing plan.
just once i'd like to see a review where it isn't a desert track, cuz, you know,we don't all live in the freakin' desert.how is it in the forest, fire roads, mud ? we'll never know if we watch a youtube review.almost every youtube channel has now drank the koolaid, pandering to a miniscule segment of buyers.
Drink the Kool-Aid? Okay, we criticized the site line over the hood, we mentioned that the mid-range power was flat, that the front end pushes during aggressive driving until you tune the suspension a little bit, but the tires felt skatie at higher pressure and have some low speed chatter in the sand, we mentioned that the top speed was 68 miles per hour in stock trim, we complained that it did not come with a roof standard so it seems that we haven't drank the Kool-Aid. All of the reviews that you see are in the desert because that's where Kawasaki held the Press ride. We know that the machine is built around 31 inch tires so you can add more aggressive mud tires with no drama.. It has front differential lock and a good amount of ground clearance. The intakes are mounted high on the rear fenders. So are you complaining because you didn't see the visuals that relate to where you ride or are you unsure about what features add up to a good machine for the mud? If you are asking for a Woods test , that's fair but accusing us of drinking the Kool-Aid, that's BS. Thanks for watching and commenting.
You mean a normal human voice? You bet. The thumbs down was not from me. I just stopped watching and then moved along. Looks like awesome video quality and editing, but the narration was too distracting.
Well, as the guy with the robot voice, I personally receive about 10 compliments to every complaint on my voice over work. If I'm pleasing 90% of our viewers than I would say I'm doing a pretty good job especially living at a time where everybody wants to bitch few want to say anything nice.. Again, if you can do better I welcome you reading our voice over Scripts. Feel free to give us a thumbs down. Any interaction just boosts our video in the algorithm so... thanks for watching
@@UTVonDemand In my opinion, you done a fabulous job of narrating, as well as giving the lows and highs of the machine. Some people will BITCH and COMPLAIN about anything, in spite of a GREAT REVIEW!
