its so great to have another update! i really hope you make another "trainfanning" video, where you show tons of beautiful trains from different spots, that was a superb video you did!
Well done, Per. Great job and this is a layout I hope to see sooner than later. Glad you are safe and healthy down there!! Great layout. One of my favs !!
This is one of the most realistic railroads I have ever seen. Rarely does someone create exactly what they wanted and you have. I would have commented by saying all of the things that you said that you tried to create and finish. Finish? It looks it. Thank you so much for sharing this video of your amazing layout. I am blown away with the realism of each of the scenes and then to see the automation of the staging yards that turn off the power to the track and then power it up and throw the turnouts for the route to bring the train out to the layout. That was incredible. Wow.
You have a wonderful layout! I admire the ability to combine the buildings, the vehicles and scenery to really capture the feel of the area. I have enjoyed many of your videos and appreciate getting to have a look at the whole thing. You have done a great job on this layout.
Great layout ! It's so refreshing to see a layout that actually represents 'civilization'. Too many layouts treat hi-ways, roads, and city streets as 'afterthoughts', but you treat them as accurately as I have EVER seen on any model railroad. Congratulations on a project well executed !
Absolutely beautiful layout with very realistic scenes of contemporary railroading. All the complex lower deck staging yard tracks will create a problem for anyone such as myself. My old knees don't take well to crawling under a layout. But the visible layout is masterful and all that staging is essential for making the layout operations successful.
Just LOVE watching your videos of your layout. I'm glad you made this and the extra info. Your layout is very well planned out. Beautifully executed, and modeled. And just really fun to watch. Curious if you do operations on your layout. I know you stated it's more geared for train watcher and you nailed it. But it really looks cool for operations too. Would love to know. Anyway, thanks again for another awesome video. Cheers!!
Thanks for sharing. You should video the Eagle running and stopping on your layout. I would love to see that. Not many show there Amtrak trains. I got to ride the Eagle from Huston through San Antonio on to Tucson, AZ I think it would make a fun video. Thanks for sharing. Such a Beautiful layout.
This is by far the best layout I have ever seen! Your scenery is in a class of its own! Very well done video! Our son was at Ft Polk in Leesville and I so bad wanted to make it ahead down to see your layout but never worked out. 😢 Best wishes from Indiana.
Wow! This is marvelous! You've done an amazing job. One thing I noticed, though, is that law enforcement seems to be very busy in your part of Texas. :)
Great walk through! One thing that sticks out to me is your grass clumps, I'm curious if you made them all individualy and glued them one at a time or have another method of doing it. They look fantastic and would like to see if I can replicate it on my layout.
Thank you. The larger areas of grass clumps are made with Silflor grass mats from Scenic Express, with individual Silflor grass tuffs added at the edges of the mats (to hide the sharp edges) and for smaller areas.
Excellent layout. I hope to one day get a rigged up ghetto version of your layout (the RUG line) in a Chicago area setting. How much $ have you invested in this layout?
You should get some canadian national locomotives the sd70acu C44-9W and they gevo locomotives they sometimes are leased imunits running for csx in texas
The Jack In The Box was a kit I offered several years ago, but I had to stop because they would not let me use their logo and building design. The other chains are easier to work with.
@@perlaursen478 I wish we had met back then. I probably could have gotten it worked out. Retired now and a total change in management at HQ in San Diego. I certainly would have wanted one!
