One would expect to find the occasional dent and ding on a vehicle that’s being used frequently. Whether driving down the road or parked “safely” in a far off parking space....unfortunately your vehicle will get a dent or ding at some point.
This McLaren, however, was still at the dealership and had never spent time on the road. It was brand new, parked in a row with other new luxury, high end, exotic vehicles. This dent was most likely caused by a door opening up and hitting the side.

Can this be done without removing ppf on quarter panel?

Eric Hamrick the dent can be removed without removing PPF if you’re pushing the dent from the back of the panel without any issues. When glue pulling there’s a slight risk that it will delaminate the film....another tech I know glue pulled an entire hail car that was wrapped in PPF without any issues, think it was a Tesla. My gut tells me that it really just depends on the quality of the film and the way it was applied. If I’m working on a wrapped panel I’ll try every avenue to fix the damage without glue pulling but in the end if that’s the only way the dent can be removed then you just have to weigh if it’s worth the risk. I think it is personally because worse case you’re only redoing one panel which shouldn’t cost too much I wouldn’t imagine.

@@ProPDRofGa Thank you for the reply. My ding is the exact same location on the same color 720s with Ultimate XPEL on the panel. Unfortunately I'm in Ohio at the moment but I may pass through Atlanta Georgia on way to Florida once this pandemic passes and would love to get the same results from Pro PDR. :-)
