I don’t care what car it is. I will watch every single video, and click on every notification I get from this channel. I don’t even care if this is a boring Altima, still interesting with this channel
@Weeby Right. Instead of looking at Ferrari and Rolls Royce videos when you probably won’t ever own one. I have nothing against them, but just be real.
@@bagelover73 it’s garage kept 🤪 either way I guess I’ll just have to get a new one and miss all of my options. 🤦🏻♂️ I’ve been eyeing the Maxima though knowing it’s the last year for now 😜
@@sc2603 , listen bro. I drive a 2009 maxima with 140k miles on it. Never once had a cvt failure- the people that do get them don’t take care of their cars. it’s simple, read your owners manual
@@mikedior3089 my wife’s Altima is on its 3rd cvt the second one lasted 4,000 miles .. put in by a Nissan dealer it was junk from the factory.. so take care of what ?
@@sc2603 weren't you listening? He said he never had a cvt failure, not once, so just chill, not every vehicle with a cvt will fail if you take care of it, I have a 2012 Nissan Altima, and I also had no issues with the cvt, none, so quit being so negative!
if the grille bottom was moved up to just below the nissan badge and there was a secondary normal intake under a front bumper, the front end would be awesome.
I've driven my cvt so hard you can smell the belts lol. I'm talking smelling engine transmission and brakes at the same time and I have 341k miles on my 16 altima cvt and im still moving along.
@@occckid123 you’re comment made me laugh 😂😂 that’s good to heard I’ve heard the CVT issues are on the older models and the new ones are really good. Was just curious the new ones can handle rough and fast driving?
@@a.a2397 My 2016 Sentra has 130,000 miles and seems to be doing okay as long as you don’t put your foot to the floor instantly, then it feels like it trips and gets confused. But if you do it progressively and let it rev out it does fine. I’m also not the og owner though
My daughter owned a 2011 Nissan Altima that the empty console caught on fire and burned the entire front seat area during the night in our driveway. Nissan corporation's response... "it's is older than 4 years so we are not legally obligated to investigate the cause." Lawyer said I would lose thousands trying to sue them for reimbursement and endangering my daughter's life. I WILL NEVER OWN A NISSAN AGAIN!
well you bought a car literally a whole decade old…what were you guys expecting. everyone knows never go under year 2017 but y’all pull up w 2011’s. plus why are you even commenting that on a video with a NEWER Nissan…trust me it’s way different than your daughters “2011” or whatever. Also, no car just “catches on fire”, there was something wrong with it before that. But that’s not Nissans fault it’s the dealership she bought the car off of, or her fault for not keeping up with the maintenance.
@@occckid123 who told you that ? 😂. The IS stacks up pretty will. Yeah it’s not the fastest but it’s no slouch. I definitely prefer it to this Altima and as you can see, many others agree with me that this car isn’t all that. I’ve been driving the IS 200t for almost 2 years now and I can definitely say it’s far from “underwhelming”.
So do they have 180 on the dash stock or did you upgrade because if so imma invest in a 2019 Altima vc turbo because I have a v6 2015 blacked out Altima and it’s fast I whoop hemis in it all the time the top speed I’ve hit in it is 157 mph while racing a dodge on the highway and I smoked him 💨💨💨 Nissan Altimas and maxima are no joke they are light and quick
@@Trustmebro091 Previously it was sold, has it stopped selling now? I live in Iraq and are interested in cars, and according to my information, they are sold in America !!
I’ll never understand why Nissan continues to use CVT’s in pretty much every singe car they produce. Put a 10 speed in this thing and it’ll sell like hot cakes!!!
that CVT tho LMAO you can still hear it no matter how much they try even with fake software controlled shifting.. eew no thx lol mazda skyactive drive any day over that cvt.
@@NissanAltimaGuy really??! So what you are saying is the typical CVT drone that has been discussed and talked about at least a thousand times by auto journalist , car enthusiasts and licenced trained ASE mechanic like my self... Are wrong about the drone noise and rubber band effect.. please it's a well known thing with a cvts.. not my fault you got butt hurt from my first comment being a Nissan fan boy so lmao at your lack of mechanical knowledge and performance sound and feeling of a CVT vs no CVT .
Linux Kernel 4.19 IDGAF what you’re “Licensed” as. Transmissions do not produce NOISE, THEREFORE they don’t DRONE. However they do hold ratios & mimic gears making the ENGINE produce a “DRONE”. So get your facts straight before you try to come back smartass and proving NOTHING. Stupid shit. Also fanboy me all you want I’m not offended. 🥴
@@NissanAltimaGuy wow ignorant much .. yess a CVT produces a droneing /humming noise under acceleration .. where have you been .. why the hell do you think so many people who are auto jerninalist compalin about the "dreaded" CVT noise .. you do not hear the same drone noise in a planetary gear transmission.. but anyway here is all the Info to say I know my shit as a mechanic and car enthusiast .. article from SAE and also when they wear out hey make a horrid wineing noise so lol get your facts right ... www.sae.org/publications/technical-papers/content/2011-01-0150/ Doesn't matter the publication date it's how a CVT is in general...
@@linuxkernel4.199 the altima generally holds a fixed ration when you accelerate above 2200rpm and is locked in a ration usually until it pretend shifts. Doesn't feel like doing and feels like it's locked in a gear but when there is wheelspim it acts a little different or if Ouboit it in L then it will just hold the rpm at the same level but it barely drones honestly. Many publications mentioned how good it was at actually not droning with this cvt.
Wow altima sucks the old 2007ish model with the 3.5 L some how is better in design materials and god ill rather have no screen if thats what you are offering....
@@occckid123 i know lol in my memories kinda does.... But yeah I exagerated there lol.. but nissan its like the greatest let down on the car industry right now....
@@BlackCat.Designs i don't see anything wrong with tbe cvt. When they decide 2 replace it i will be sad. I quite like it. The 8spd auto and 10spd auto gives me anxiety lmfak
