You really drive me crazy man! Did you know the route? Because otherwise at several parts i would have driven the car into the greenery at that speed :D Nevertheless thanks for the driving impression!! I'm highly interested in buying one...even though it has only 3 cylinders. Btw: Golf 8 is the same. New engines are downsized as f*** Greetings from Germany!

Basti H. Thank You very much! :-) Yes, I know the route well. 😀 Astra is still very good car, don’t worry. But it’s more or less a bit worse than in the past because of new manufacturing plant (Astra Sports Tourer isn’t produced in Great Britain anymore...)

Hi basti... The New Golf 8 has only one engine with 3 popper engine, the others are big 4 cylinders.... buy a volkswagon Golf 8 this old GM Opel is shit

What do you think about new astra 1.2 or 1.4 turbo petrol with 145 horse power ,I guess it's much better than diesel ?I think you have a video with 1.4 version if I remember

This better be ridiculously economical. It's a 3 cylinder diesel and it's only revving 2000 at 130. How was your fuel economy?

6,8 liters per 100 kilometers, but it's absolutely new car with few kilometers on clock. It will be lower. But still ...not so good as I expected.

@@muldix That's pretty bad. I drive a 1.5 dci Megane 3 and it does 6.0 at 144 and my long time average is 5.6. And I have a heavy right foot. It's a manual transmission though...

It's neither GM or PSA. It has been developed by Opel stuff. The first and last true Opel diesel engine!

Abc Def honestly, it doesn’t seem good, because of strange gear ratios... 1,2 are long 3,4,5,6,7 are very short, so transmission only shifts and shifts and 8,9 are very long, so you’re almost not using these.

This engine is stupid, how the fck they made something like this... I have astra J with 1.7 cdti last good engine for astra I think, in repair shop they sad 1.6 cdti is unreliable

I have a "VW Golf 7.5 TDI 2.0L" and drive with 4,7 Liters per 100 Kilometers! This engine in der new Astra is bullshit...

@@muldix The engine is a real opel engine, the french engines from PSA all have 4 cylinders.

Crankshaft Rotator yes, but they had to build 3 cylinder, PSA told to Opel, if they want new 4 cylinder engine, they has to take if from Peugeot. And Opel needed to give job to his engineers in development.
