Yes it's an SUV, officially at least. And, no, it does not have a manual transmission, let alone an air-cooled engine. That means, for many, this isn't even close to a real Porsche. If you are one of those people, I say-respectfully-go pound sand.
We live in a world that has fallen in love with tall station wagons and any company needs to have SUVs to survive. The good news is that Porsche builds them quite well, which allows the Macan GTS to retain healthy amounts of fun to drive character, despite being a bit higher off the ground.
