Early congrats on hitting 10k subs, Roger! Your dedication and focus is paying off. Great review of a vehicle that has just hit my radar very recently after a dodgy experience trying out an RCF (totally different I know - let's just say I'm acknowledging my age). Was all over a 2018 GTS but have some anxieties about the burgeoning number of oil issues and transfer case problems resulting in few warrantied vehicles being available. Seems if I want to go Macan I need to opt for the Audi motor - also interesting how they no longer have the larger displacement motor for the Turbo...

Nice video! Think there are too many buttons, but sounds like I'll be hitting the sweet spot with a 2021 Porsche Macan!

Very nice review - the first one where anyone has tried a bit of off roading. I've had a GTS on order here in South Africa since mid August - still don't have a build date - may get it by Easter 2021 - rare as hens teeth in S.A. - no dealers even have a demo, so I don't even know how it drives or sounds - but from all the videos and reviews - should be worth the wai!t

nice review i'm not sure landrover fans will think much of the macans off road ability but you are quite right about the macans amazing on road ability

Hi Roger Excellent review again. This car was on my short list when I recently came to change my ageing Audi SQ5. However things were complicated when my old car failed requiring cylinder head rebuild which would have costed in excess of £3500😂 My Audi dealer offered a great deal which I could not refuse, and the GTS would have cost me at least another £10k. Maybe next time as the Macan GTS has all I could wish for, buttons included!

Great review and yes, I fully agree with you...the new Macan GTS is an awesome car (especially in this colour combo - having the same 😊) . Once behind the wheel, you just completely forget that you are driving a so-called SUV 😁 (until you happen to need, sometime, the U or the V 😁)

Before I comment on this stunning SUV, I have a question Sir Roger. @2:07 into the video, did something... Go wrong? Did you enter another dimension? Where everything is "reversed"? The Porsche badge gave it away that you were NOT travelling on foreign roads. Anyway. You've been to the Arctic in the Mecan and you've seriously...ish! off roaded an "S" so I was half expecting you to ford that water at the beginning of the video? You, sort of, tried to later on into the video, but I think the car's onboard computer took over the steering and thought, "Nope! Not going across that water!" :-))... So is this better or different than the Turbo you drove? And how do they compare? As for the GTS's "more exciting looks", I still think it looks quite understated. It's the sort of car that you wouldn't give a second glance to at a red light, until you watch it's exhaust disappearing into the distance and thought, "What the **** was that!!??" :-))... Great video Mr. RB. Editing (Or most of it. See above!), choice of music and volume, the scenery, your Porsche knowledge, dronemanship (Or is that Blonde-stalker-droneswomanship?). ;-))... Your No1 Stalker (And now No1 critique!) :-))...

Very informative and clear description! I’m owner of a Macan diesel and after 6 years it is time to replace it. I was thinking Macan s but now I’m also considering a gts…! Having a Bmw m240i xdrive in the garage as well , I think that if I turn to a gts, then most probably I will have two in one ! What’s your advise??

Roger- I ordered a 21 GTS but my only concern is that it is a smaller displacement engine at 2.9L. What is your opinion on the ngine?

Roger, what are your thoughts on this Macan GTS versus a BMW X3 M40? The X3, fully loaded, would be about US $15k less than a well-optioned (but not loaded) Macan GTS.

been looking at the Macan S unless this came out , just wondering with the sports exhaust can you turn it off for a quiet ride around the neighborhood ? I'm looking at the chalk color , just figuring out the interior to match beside black. thought?

Did you say they are eliminating the buttons stack down the middle?? THAT is one of the coolest looking (and most practical) design elements inside the Macan. I think that would be a mistake, but hey, who knows. Agree, the GTS is the 'sweet spot' in the lineup and a clear winner!

There is a button for just about everything you can think of!! I am sure that the buttons have hidden button that enables VTEC!!! LOL JK I own a GTS its as good as it gets for the CUV. I mean its great for those like us that own fast Cars like the 911 , Supras, NSXs, and the CRXs its a match made in heaven.

Is it worth the upgrade from the previous version’s Macan GTS?

Is the facelift for 2021 really confirmed by Porsche, as in touch screen instead of tactile buttons?

Touch panels aren’t the future. Are you listening Porsche? The arguments against haptic touch panels are mounting. Commonly used functions should be physical buttons with surfaces that don’t show prints and can be used without looking.

imo, the suv cancels the point of getting a porsche. its for rich house wives who dont know anything about cars but wants bragging rights. lol

Am I first here ?

Porsche doesn't stand behind the quality of their vehicles. The ransfer case on my 2015 Macan S has failed twice now in only 27,000 miles. This is a known issue which caused Porsche to extend their warranty to 7 ys. Their "improved" transfer case lasted only 2 years 2 months and 9,000 miles. I am out of warranty by 6 weeks and Porsche turns their back on problem and sticks me for $3,200 repair. Don't buy a Porsche w/o extended warranty for entire length of time you expect to own it. #1 rated warranty company - Endurance - won't even sell coverage on Macan. That should tell Porsche and all potential buyers something. Customer experience is far from an expected premium car brand experience.
