Nice truck. That truck camper is going to look awesome on there. I own a Lance 1172 and I am in need of a more heavy duty truck to carry it. I am thinking of getting the Chevy HD 4x4 crew for my needs. It has great payload capacity but it has the smaller tires which I kinda like to keep my center of gravity low as well as keeping my total height under 13 feet. I can’t wait to see your setup finished.

@KruseandViews
@KruseandViews 3 года назад
Thank you! If the air ride fails I can definitely still drive the truck it will ride on the internal bump stops within the air bags. Should last about 2 or 3 thousands miles that way.

I just got an f550 and have a mammoth bought . I was looking at the super single with liquid spring but I'm not sure I'll be over 13'6" . How tall is your deck unweighted and with the mammoth on ? I figure 41" deck 5 1/2" conversion and 118w/AC " on the Mammoth puts me at 13' 8 1/2" unweighted . Weighted I could be close. Really appreciate the videos. Thanks
@melvb123
@melvb123 2 года назад
If you had the same set up but having to travel 500 -1,000 miles on highways to get to your off road camping venues would you still make the conversion to the super single?
@KruseandViews
@KruseandViews 2 года назад
Oh yeah, it's having best of both worlds and it's super drivable on the highway and off road.

Not sure if you have covered it or not, but why the Hemi gas engine and not the 6.7 Cummins in a truck of this size? Do you not tow at all?

Nice truck, what kind of mileage do you get going down the interstate 70mph? I want to do the same thing. What was the cost including labor for the buck stop conversion?
@KruseandViews
@KruseandViews 3 года назад
Hey there Mike, so I get 10-11 MPG on the Highway at 70. The total cost on the Buckstop conversion was $16,900 for the full kit and installed.

@piccard455

What's the total carry capacity that it can haul? The payload. The towing capacity i get. I am looking for something that can carry 13000lbs. So far only seeing the ford 750s. Any advice would be nice.
@KruseandViews
@KruseandViews 3 года назад
They max payload for my set up is 11,000 Pounds and I believe the absolute MAX for RAM is 12,300 LBS... Getting to 13K lbs is tough... Those Ford 750's are Massive!!
@luciekopecka49
@luciekopecka49 2 года назад
Mr Piccard , rear axel on my Ram its 12000k pound maximum capacity . My trail with max load = 28000 K pounds if I spread the load the right way my rear axel on the truck showing 11500 . Hopefully this will answer your wrong ask questions.
