Much easier to design like you did because so many other designs are too complicated. Furthermore you are one of the few that discusses lighting, which is vital! Thanks!

Thanks! I work better in my sewing room if it’s clear of clutter. I try to keep the tools I use on a regular basis out. The rest is tucked away. Just like my kitchen.

I love your sewing room. I also love the button sewing machine picture your friend made. Your room is very cozy, but very organized and neat. It's overwhelming watching some of these sewing rooms tours on YT and the walls are jam-packed with so much stuff. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space.

Hi Penni, just found your channel via a RU-vid recommendation. Love your sewing room! It has such a peaceful feel to it. And so functional. All your tech is impressive! I've redone my own sewing room this year and I'm sure my I.T. hubby wishes I would get on board with all the new tech, lol.

Thanks! I needed a solution to my lighting problem in this room. I got tired of crawling under my tables to turn on the lights. So far this system has worked great!

Hi Penni, enjoyed your reveal so much. You have a lovely sewing room. The info on the Alexa and plug-ins are going to be a game changer for me. My husband just completed adding my craft home onto our home and with all of my Cricut’s and card cutting machines now with your advice I won’t have to bend down to plug-in and unplug my machines. I love your sewing room. I could spend hours in it!!!! I have the Pfaff Passport .02 and I love it. It's very functional and does everything I want in a sewing machine plus it's lightweight and easy for me to take to my sewing guild or to have it's service. I really like your lighting system. Your sewing room feels like a real home sewing room. Well set up and functional not a sewing room that works like a production line work shop as lots of peoples. Well done.

It’s supposed to be a home office which I didn’t really need until now. I scoot my sewing machine over to work. Sometimes it’s distracting with all of my sewing equipment close by while I work from home these days.

I actually have an Alexa as well but I didn’t know how to set it up to control the lights. I can’t wait till I can get my lights set up that way!

Beautiful sewing room Penni. Thanks for the tour. I use Alexa in my sewing room too, and she is very helpful. I have a boiler iron with no auto shutoff. I like the Kasa app because I can see if I turned off the iron off and do so from my phone if necessary. People do need to be sure the smart plugs handle enough amps for an iron. Irons pull a lot of current. I would not use a smart plug rated for fewer than 15 amps just to be safe.

I agree with separation of the Ikea peg boards. I have 3 on 3 different walls. And I to just purchased a Rowenta for myself and I love it. I wish I didn't have a stash.. I know my husband wishes the same to. Love your built ins. Great sewing space! Your friend does great work. Where could I buy one.? 🤩

I bought them at IKEA. It was an office table. The brown one used to have a motor that made the table go up and down. It no longer works. The white table is a simple white table that is adjustable. Both are very sturdy.

I really have no idea what they’re called. I found them in a bin at IKEA in the lighting department. They were easy to install and plugged them into my Alexa system.
