I realized as you may have as well, that the headlights won’t turn on unless the truck gets shifted into gear and once you put er on pack they shut off during the day. Might be why you weren’t getting power.
I saw someone else do the same thing and he had the bluetooth different color option and he also did it for the bottom lights! Both look good keep it up
Nice man, and don’t worry about the warranty being voided if you’re just getting an oil change. I work at a Chevy dealer and that wouldn’t be a problem there.
Awesome! What fuse did you end up tapping into? Gonna do mine soon... Can't decide when I want them on. Def not running a switch. Also can't decide what color. Maybe color changing so I can pick. Would be cool to have it amber with parking lights, then switch to white when headlights come on. Also haven't decided what kind of backing to use... some guys say metal... I don't want to go cutting metal for such a simple mod. I like your idea with the plastic.
Hi....you should use a multimeter to test those fuses. You should never probe a fuse box with a test light. It used to be okay to do...now it is not a great idea.
@@ngin40 It's secure between the CHEVROLET and recessed into the black grille, I used epoxy to keep it from shaking/vibrating loose. I placed the LED lights behind the black grille and covered that with a thin flexible plastic to keep it from lighting the radiator, like you see in this video. I used aluminum tape to cover the seems and small holes. You cannot see any of it unless you remove the whole grille.
I have a 2020 work truck the font grill is black and the paint is so white, and would love to have a blue light in. Where would I get the light from???????? And what Ilengh
Got mine at Walmart. They had others that would change different colors. Watch out with blue, police don't like cars with blue lights here in Missouri.
@@bincockwell2610 nice job!! Fyi, always put a link no matter the store. I believe you get like a commission if someone purchases from your posted links.
In Missouri it’s no issue as long as it isn’t blinking/strobing red or blue. It may be the same in other states. It makes sense why they’d stop you if you were using strobing red and blue lights.
