2020 Street Bob Break Pedal And Shifter Peg Adjustment 

Just bought my Street Bob today and I noticed the brake lever doing the same thing. You just saved me the agony of contacting the dealer.

I was wondering why my 2020 street bob rear brake was so bad. I decided to look and found the pedal was hitting my new exhasut pipes stopping it from from make the brake kick in at all! This video helped so much now my rear brake actually works like it should! Thanks man!

I went to the Harley Davidson for my first 1k miles and told them to adjust muy break lever and they say tha it doesn’t had adjustment. I will show them your video and tell them not to no so dum! Tku for the video I did the adjustment already.

You're a life saver. I noticed these things from day 1 or day 500🤣. Put up with it for 2 years. You're a life saver. I'll make these adjustments ASAP. I saw this in a forum couple days ago after being unhappy about the horrible rear brake performance. My front brake makes a screeching noise at the end of a braking cycle, lets say coming to a stop at a red light. I thought maybe it happens after the rotors heat up. Or maybe I don't need to squeeze the lever as hard. I mentioned these things at the first service but got typical answers of oh that's normal during break in. The service writer even said oh we might bleed the brakes. I was like yeah right, you're not doing any of that. And of course they didn't do anything. But now I can. I was getting nasty false neutrals and transmission rattles. Finding neutral was very difficult with stock mineral oil. I got syn3 at first service but skeptical about it. And these m8s are known for blowby and carbon buildup on cylinders. I am not sure if I should switch back to regular oil or try another synthetic

Break on my 2020 softail standard is the same way on the break I found i dont even use it but I'm going to definitely use the video to adjust it

I have the same two issues on my 2022 Street Bob. Was going to take it in but looks like i can save the $$ and take care of it myself!

I've had the same issue with my shifter on my 21 street bob as well. Shifting into 2nd gear at times I would put it into neutral. Pain in the ass

Regarding the rear break.. I 100% agree…. After the adjustment can you reverse the pin so you can put the clip on easier…. Or even put in a cotter pin?

I found the problem with my clutch the minute I drove off the lot. Also had same problems with the back breaks.. I Done it all myself and was really easy.

Damn it, I didn't have the shifter issue, however my Harley dealer told me they couldn't adjust that silly little brake pedal when I told them it was too low and it felt as though I didn't have any rear brakes. !!! !*×#9÷ Thank you Sir 💯

Would it make sense to adjust both the brake and shifter up higher to make for a better clearance for floorboards?

So after adjusting the shifter peg, should it wiggle in and out like that? I didn’t notice it till after I put it back.

I adjusted the gears pedal on my streetbob 22 and it was hard to land it on first gear when I stop so I put it back on the original position but I can only wear slim boots when ridding, any subjection?

My shifter peg bolt was lost, what is the correct size for the bolt? 2022 street bob 114

Really simple adjustments that can be done at home,dealerships charge way to much for simple things. Learn to wrench on your own bike. Thats why i bought a sporty

It should have been adjusted correctly during the PDI. They shouldn’t be charging you to fix their own mistake.

Adjustments that affect the operation and safety of the motorcycle, should come with standard free adjustment for as much as they charge for their motorcycles. This is why I own a Honda. Harley Davidson can eat a bag of #*%!’s
