I'm from Hillsboro, Kentucky and I used to have a Toyota 4 runner . Best vehicle I've ever had . Can't afford one now but maybe one day I will have one again . I loved the scenery going down the road. Awesome job.
Love my 2013 trail edition with crawl control and KDSS. Just installed blizzaks recently. Almost two feet of snow in my up sloping driveway. On 4low tried locking rear differential and also craw control and found out Atrac was the best in my situation. Also use downshifting for hills. More control than braking. With 146,000 km. It will last my lifetime. Had a new 1990 4 runner for 21 hrs with only regular maintenance.
Thank you! The snow is so beautiful ❄️. I am originally from upstate NY but moved to Florida in 1978. Went up for Thanksgiving about 10 years ago and couldn’t walk because of the cold. Metal in my back made that trip horrible! But it is so beautiful and I love your videos of the lake house/cabin.
I drove my trd 4runner 19 hours straight through winter storms some of the way through Oregon and it didn’t even flinch, I had so much confidence in it carrying me and my family all the way to Washington that I will never buy any other brand but Toyota
4runners love snow. The first snow I got with the 4runner trd off road I still had the factory highway tires and it laughed at the snow. Last year I got some BFG KO2's and it is invincible. You can almost drive these trucks in 2 wheel drive with their traction/stability control. I can't wait for this winter. They're talking a nasty winter this year here.
I love my 4Runner but absolutely don't find it does well in the snow in 2WD. At that point it's like any RWD vehicle - kinda sketchy. But drop it into 4WD and it plows.
Over 450 K between my 3 4runners ('98 '08 '16) nothing but oil changes, tires, battery and one starter! I personally wouldn't trade them for any other SUV.🤜🏻🤛🏻 you should throw some gtr ultra 2 leds from headlight revolution in your headlights. They just plug right in and make a world of a difference. Game changer 💯 %
Thanks for sharing its beautiful scenery I love snow. I love your truck I own two 4Runner 3rd and 4th generation and I’m planning to get a Tundra next. Good luck with your 4Runner take care be safe in the snow.
Watched for a short time, but even just watching it snow made me cold. Lived in Nebraska most of my life and played in the snow growing up, but 25 years in TN and I can't handle the cold any more!
New subscriber from Michigan, USA. Love the videos, love the country. Trying to follow the videos in order is really tuff. Your a super busy guy, but maybe sometime you could turn the videos into playlists. I'd really like to follow the videos on the new homestead and also the new cabin purchase in the order they go in. But no complaints, love your stuff. Being an old man close to retirement, It's great to see a young guy who is not afaid to bust his but to make a living, and to make a better future for his family. Keep em coming! And more power to ya brother!
My 2021 limited is a full time 4x4, never taken it to the snow ❄️ but that’ll end this thanksgiving. I’ll take it to Lake Tahoe! Can’t wait to see how it drives
Watching you from the UK (in the sunshine - sorry). It looks so beautiful, even in the snow. Hope you are doing OK and are managing to keep your family safe and warm.
I've just watcehd the CAR CARE NUT (a 30 year TOYOTA specailist mechanic - and his series on used ones) and I think I'm just going to get one of these instead of a new car.. LOVE these anyway!!!! Always have.
Thanks for sharing. My wife and I are looking for a good SUV in the Snow. We live in Northern Maine and we have a lot of snow like you. Winter tires on a FWD Corolla are not cutting it.
I love to see snow like in the bush like this but I wouldn't dare go out in it lol.....n for that storm, I thought the were gonna call in the army again in Toronto lol
There was a big snow storm in Cleveland a couple years ago and my 21 4runner sr5 with stock tires was going through it like nothing and one of the only cars actually able to drive through it
What's the speed limit for 4x4 high? A lot of guys say you should never go over 55. A lot of guys say you should only use 4x4 if you get stuck. What are your thoughts?
I've been checking in with 'Ryan Hall Y'all' live weather cast on and off since last night. Ya may want to give him a look ? Stay safe up there. Oh, I've sent one of your videos to several other people, think they'll like your post.
I'd like to know what's so special about it. I put truetracs in my F250 and it's never been stuck in the snow. It would have to be 20 inches deep before I even started to worry.
Just wondering because I just brought a FAE mulcher for my STANDARD flow John Deere CT 332 from local dealer and I realize now it doesn’t have bite limiter technology on it just the standard teeth. I want to return it to dealer because I think it’s a must have. What to you think I should do if you were me?
With all things being equal always take an SUV. Pickup trucks lack the weight thus traction in the rear. Living in Alaska for 20 years you see guys loading up sandbags into the bed of their trucks. Still better off with a truck like the 4Runner. I miss playing in the snow being in Florida.
