@@FinalDriveshow how much the drive out price of this this car?
@FinalDriveshow
@FinalDriveshow 4 года назад
@@kikxzerimar7476 That's difficult to answer because out-the-door prices are based upon on several factors such as destination fees, dealer incentives and most importantly your location. I suggest visiting your local dealership's website and inputting your zip code to get a good idea on your approx cost. Hope that helps.

Just recently purchased a 2019 se same color and everything. So far I’m loving it, this new 4 cylinder gets great mileage and still has more power than I’ll probably ever open up and use, I’ve been driving a 99 with the v6 that I got back in 07 lol so it’s taken me a minute to get use to all these bells and whistles on the new one. Things I love the most though is the roomy interior, comfortable ride, and sleek looks.. typical for a Camry

@FinalDriveshow
@FinalDriveshow 4 года назад
You can't go wrong with either one as they are both similarly equipped, so the main difference is going to be size. If you like smaller, more agile cars then the Corolla is the winner. However, if you want more room and power, then the Camry is the better choice.

i had the XLE 2019 corolla for some time and loved it. 140 on the dash, it has a S mode, interior in my opinion was nicer than the camry, but it doesnt have apple play, drives amazing, the LED headlights really do come in handy, its a tighter fit and the trunk space is def not as sweet as the camry. Honeslty it comes down to your style, i'll be picking up my 2020 SE Camry this monday, excited.

Amos great video thanks what is your opinion on one in the market for a sedan with AWD since in an area with winter but is currently stuck between the SE AWD + cold weather and convenience upgrade packages vs the XSE + heated steering wheel add-on (since the rest of the cold weather package already comes standard on XSE). Seems to be about 2-3k more for the XSE vs the SE + those upgrades and so I'm wondering if that difference between getting a souped up SE or just getting the XSE that would already have most of those features + a little more like JBL or some other things I've been reading is the better value for money in your view? Thanks!
@FinalDriveshow
@FinalDriveshow 4 года назад
Great question Drizzy! There’s old saying, “buy as much car as you can afford.” That said, I’d go with the XSE. Sure, it costs a little more than the SE, but you’ll get everything you want and more. Also, if you plan on keeping the car for a long time, it’ll be a smarter and cheaper than buying the SE in hopes of adding some of those XSE features later as later usually never comes. So if you can swing it, $2-3K is a small price to pay for everything you want and everything you didn’t know you wanted. 👍🏾
@Drizzydid
@Drizzydid 4 года назад
@@FinalDriveshow That's a really good way to look at it. An enlightening perspective indeed thanks and maybe with good negotiation I can get the price of XSE down closer towards SE anyway! Do you think with the current global climate it will be easier to bargain especially with thanksgiving/black friday approaching or do you think it will be expect it will actually be harder since many places need the maximum amount of funds now moreso than ever?
@FinalDriveshow
@FinalDriveshow 4 года назад
@@Drizzydid Exactly! EVERYTHING is up for negotiation when it comes to buying a car. You can even negotiate accessories like floor mats or even oil changes. 😉 As far as when to buy a car, the pandemic has certainly made it a buyer’s market, so you can’t go wrong buying now as opposed to Thanksgiving or Black Friday. However, I’m unsure if cars are more heavily discounted unlike electronics during those events. That said, you’re always going to find the best deals at the end of the month AND with the cars already on the lot as opposed to ordering it. But no matter what you decide, do your homework as far as prices in your area from several dealerships and check resources like Kelley Blue Book to get an idea of what people are paying in your zip code, so you don’t go in uneducated. Remember, they need you MORE than you need them. They WANT your business, so don’t give up your power.

Great review and fair as was your review of the earlier Camry SE. I have a Super White 2019 Camry SE just like this one. Since I wanted great gas mileage I'm not going to complain about the 4 cylinder engine mated to the 8-speed automatic, in fact it's peppier than I expected. Amazing that at 70 on the interstate the engine is only at 1700 RPM and you get over 40 MPG! Beauty is different for all of us but personally I love the "swooping hawk" front end. And the fake vents, oh well, big deal, no harm no foul. I got the base model SE without even blind spot monitoring and RCTA because in the Northwest to get that they make you get a moon roof also. But that's my only regret, otherwise you get just about every other safety feature and option you need in the base SE model. Yep, "everything you need and nothing you don't".
@FinalDriveshow
@FinalDriveshow 4 года назад
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Quentin! This generation Camry is very good and continues to sell like hotcakes especially the SE trim.
@QuentinQuatermass
@QuentinQuatermass 4 года назад
@@FinalDriveshow I agree, Mr. Famous! The SE is the 'sweet spot' in the Camry trim levels since for about $1200 more than the Plain Jane LE you get much nicer 18" wheels, wider tires, the sporty front grille instead of the gaping 'catfish' grille, better climate control, SofTex seats, cool looking rear diffuser, chrome twin tips exhaust, spoiler and more. Next step up, the XSE definitely is a great upgrade but it's over $4000 more than the SE. I looked longingly at the XSE in Wind Chill Pearl but am not sorry I bought the SE in Super White.
@FinalDriveshow
@FinalDriveshow 4 года назад
@@QuentinQuatermass Ohhh the 'catfish' grill' 😂 That's REAL talk my friend. If money weren't an obstacle, the XSE or better yet, TRD, would be the Camry of choice. In fact, TRD Camrys are outperforming Toyota's sales expectations, so here's hoping they'll be around for a while. Do I hear an upgrade in your future... 😉
@QuentinQuatermass
@QuentinQuatermass 4 года назад
@@FinalDriveshow Yeah I'll throw catfish on my grill out back but no way do I want it on my Camry front grille! ;) I hope you get to review a TRD and XSE soon. The 2020 Camry TRD is real tempting, basically a Camry SE with the V6, better handling and braking for only $32K, the cheapest way to get a V6 Camry. But I guess I'll keep my 2019 four banger SE, after all I am an old guy who holds up traffic. :D Toyota likely will offer a free firmware flash to Android Auto for the 2018-19 Camry like they flashed the 2018 Camry to support Apple CarPlay - inching me up a 2019.25.

Great review - but what about the recalls? Engine blocks and fuel pumps? What about bonking your head on entry? Still less risky than going with a 1.5 Turbo from Accord, but I am feeling like my old Camry/Accord safe choice is not such a no brainer as it may have been in the past? If I buy Camry it would be Nightshade - like the looks...
@FinalDriveshow
@FinalDriveshow 4 года назад
Thanks Don! As far as recalls, I don’t always mention them unless it’s a major issue that has been ongoing with little to no resolution by the manufacturer. That said, NHTSA is reporting 1 recall for the 2020 Camry at the moment: bit.ly/2yQ17Oq Also, Toyotas are generally pretty reliable vehicles with good warranty support. Regarding turbos, a normally aspirated engine will generally be more reliable and problem free than a turbo one, but more and more automakers are going with turbos because it can be more economical and fuel efficient with a smaller displacement. Camrys and Accords are still at the top of their game even in 2020, so you can’t go wrong with either. If you’re in the market for a new ride, I suggest going for a test drive to make sure you don’t bonk your head, you fit, etc. because we’re all as different as the cars we drive. 👍🏾

How did you make the exhaust pop in the beginning when you were showing the noise?
@FinalDriveshow
@FinalDriveshow 4 года назад
If you hold the gas pedal down until the engine reaches its RPM limit, it will make that 2-step sound. However, this shouldn't be done too often or when the engine is cold, so try it at your own risk. Also, it does not work on all car makes/models.

I have to agree with this. I would remove the right rear headrest if only it was removable. Driving around town in my 2019 SE I sometimes drop down the right rear seat for more visibility. I don't remember any other Camry review criticizing this so I'm glad Final Drive pointed this out. You get used to being extra careful about it but without blind spot monitoring it's sure a double whammy blind spot!
