I have a 2013 sienna and would like to set a 2000 watt inverter. The firewall works great. But should we poke the wire in thru from the engine area or poke it out from under the dash?

Any issues towing? I just found out the AWD sienna is not rated for towing. The 3500 lb rating is only for the FWD.

Best video, yet. The other videos that are showing them hanging the harness out the tailgate is idiotic and could be a fire or electrical hazard. I just hope this video would help in the same manner on an 2001 Toyota Sienna as well. Well done.

In the beginning you mentioned the connection for the brake solenoid on the trailer, it is the purple wire. I didn't see that in the video and also I am a bit concerned that the led sized wire on the factory harness will not support the heavy wire and solenoid draw for reverse.

Just easier to buy the Toyota harness that connects to a harness. It drops out the bottom. Plug and play. No battery hook up. Runs about $40-$50 from Toyota

Just curious, what other equipment were you wiring up with the two other wires you fed through the firewall? Possibly thermometers for the engine and the transmission fluid?

Great job, love the video, just one question. When you put back the Driver side tail light back in are those 4 pins wire going to break off since it will pinch against the metal frame? Thank you!!

It doesn’t appear, since the metal isn’t sharp, but I am looking at changing that part since that was one point I didn’t like when doing it

@@GeekSmart Thank you, I am thinking of cutting one of the grommet and seal it with Loctite 37467 Black RTV 598 High Performance Silicone.

Curious, did you need to get a tow package installed on your Sienna? I'm thinking of getting a small trailer, but it seems the 3500 pound tow limit is only applies for Siennas that have the tow package installed.
