Watched the whole thing, in intervals over a handful of days. At breakfast, on the treadmill, during work breaks… There’s a mystical peacefulness about it. There’s a story, variety, drama, victories, defeats, coffee, but always relatability, empathy, humility, and the inevitable residue of learning.
Hey Eric. I started watching you pretty recently but I’ve been really binging your videos. It’s incredible how much you’ve helped me improve in such a short amount of time, All while having it an incredible time watching you. It’s truly incredible how easy and fun it is to watch you
I started dying when the Hall of the Mountain King was upbeat and nothing really interesting was happening in the chess game, then he is all like "ALEXA quieter!"
That first game low-key so instructive... two removing the defender tactics to win a piece, then the game. Eric uses the ideas quite naturally without explaining, but those are the underrated foundational skills it takes to level up. Nicely done.
Eric is a good person to help people catch up on sleep. No matter what is happening in the game, his voice is so peaceful and calm. I find myself napping when I go to watch at his site.
Mr Rosen I mean this as a compliment, I can sleep and have happy dreams to your content. I also watch it regularly and let it play in the background optimizing the use of your great quality of videos. Keep up the great stuff.❤
9:19 “I feel like an architect with this structure, like everything’s defended, nice foundation........ just haff to *keep* building” ~ Eric Rosen, on his burfdei
Hi Eric, I recently started watching your Chess videos and it has rekindled my love for the game... thank you for the very informative and detailed commentary. One thing I really like is your calm demeanor even in the worst of situations... I have only seen you get upset once in watching 100s of your games... keep inspiring!
Watched the whole thing, as always. I tried to find GM Zhilgalko's side of the no respect game but he doesn't seem to have posted this tournament. Man, the guy plays a lot of blitz, with other videos on the same day (I think) and previous and next days.
I just got done watching the whole thing. I really enjoy your videos. Not only are you a great Chess player but you are very inspirational. As I sometime feel like giving up chess you always invigorate me to keep trying.
3:22:15 I am one of those looking to find the longest chess videos possible :) Especially your channel it feels so calm to watch and get ideas of new attacks / openings. :) Ggs Eric.
good overview, a lot of traps and a super fast endgame - and a very strong and fun gameplay. the most boring aspect of chess is a complicated mid game with no action, but in your games there is no such thing. it makes fun to see a unexpected move from the opponent before you and listen to your explanations for all the over moves XD
Its been a long time since your stream, but its never too late. I’ve watched the whole video, liked it really much. You are amazing as a person and as a chess player, good luck!
I played chess from 8 until 15 mainly with my Dad,,,, a few games here and there after ....20 years later 40 years old and addicted to 1min +0 Lichess . Your videos give me ideas and lines to try and its awsome . I get alot of time wins but in a worse position and lower in piece score . Is there a name for it seems to upset other players.... I dont like it when it happens so really trying to improve and gain knowledge Peace keep it up 👍🏻
The RU-vid algorithm pushed your content my way recently and I'm quite happy, there was some awesome moments in here, In The Hall of the Mountain Kings appearance was pretty great. Also yes I made it to the end ;p
"Mrtootfromistanbul" in your 27th game is a reference to Ylvis, a famous Norvegian talk show. They created the song "What does the fox says" and some others, including "Mister Toot" You're welcome everyone
Thanks for your great content. I watched the whole video and it was a great Saturday. You are my favorite chess player, always making me laugh with your wild games. For me the best line was "Hmm, so I have a Bishop for my Queen, but the white king is very checkmate'able" xD *Spolier alert* Indeed he was :D
I like this kind of full tournament video.. I enjoyed it completely.. It took my 3 nights.. Everyday I watch your stream at night before I feel sleepy.. But I don't like loud music and bullet games (too fast)..
I'm gonna be real, when the queen got trapped @ 37:56 I was like "Go F4" forgetting that would be an illegal move. I've been playing way too much torpedo
