I'm a larger CC guy myself, that's why I got the 500 instead of the 390. Love having access to the power when needed/wanted. 👍 Bike looks good! I need to get with you and Pharretface and ride!
Heck yeah you do, check out the Colorado Springs Dirtbike Riders FB page a great group of guys ride weekly from there: facebook.com/groups/386681149058521
Found one of these at a good price near me and im seriously thinking about getting it. Although I’d eventually like to try some hard enduro stuff, this is what most of my weekends look like. Glad to see it is a great dual sporter also!
I wouldn't want to try and do 300 miles but it works for how close I am to stuff although I have gone more with hauling it and not even having the plate on it at this point.
My Husky is a 250 2T... off-road I don't feel for a lack of power. It'll lug to idle but I have to really watch it on the throttle, the lil' engine will zing up and rip faster than I want it too 😁 ... On road it just feels and sounds obnoxious too me, I'm glad our black-top transit sections are short...I could never ride this bike as a "dual-sport".
Can you post an update? Im looking at a 2022 xtrainer leftover at my local dealer. Are you still riding this bike? Any issues? Miles now? A bike youd suggest for a Novice that wants to ride it on the street for an hour or so at a time and also hit trails?
I have not ran it near empty yet and I don't always fill it all the way. It will go further then people I ride with. I guess i should reset the trip and see what I'm getting. Yesterdays ride was 66.6 miles and I still have plenty of fuel.
