It would probably go to about 75~80 mph top speed but would not want to sit there for any length of time. 65 mph will be a buzzy and that engine would be singing - for a short burst perhaps fine...for cruising no fun.
I did a back to back ride on the Beta 300 and KTM 300XC on a short woods loop and very close in lap time..... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tjO1qXU6eSY.html I also did a back to back ride and discuss the characteristics of the Beta 300 Race Edition and KTM 300XC... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D4XSo3i54es.html Both are fun bikes! I got the KTM at Pony Powersports Mansfield and the Beta at the Columbus store.
Yes the previous did have some vibration but this new '23 300 Race Edition is acceptable to me though could be lower (mostly at the footpegs). Current KTM 250/300 2-strokes set the bar for low vibration.
Beta really knows how to make a 2-stroke engine run clean with a simple carb and mechanical power valve...perhaps all that experience with trials bike 2-stroke engines?
@@ianbella9600 Pony Powersports (where I bought my 300RE) has some Seat Concepts seats on a few of the new Beta models in the showroom...Wow - those SC seats are SO MUCH BETTER!!!
Beautiful bike. I live in central Ohio and Iron Pony is my go to store. Could you walk me through the steps it took to get your race edition street legal?
I believe Beta motorcycles come with a Manufacturer's Statement of Origin allows for the bike to be titled as a motorcycle - then just get a registration. The Beta's already come with DOT approved tires, horn, hi/lo beam headlight, brake light switches, and are wired for turn signals which can be added. I add a rear view mirror too.
I've owned a few sets of Ohlins on Honda CRF450 and KTM/Husky 300's and 350's. KYB's on Yamaha's have always worked so well over a wide range of terrain and rider skill levels. The KYB's are the '23 Beta 300 Race Edition have an off road focused setting that absorbs the little chop with good control on the bigger inputs and respond well to clicker changes.
@@mxengineer1 I understand. It's hard to say which is better, both are very good. I have the RR version and the front suspension is no big deal. I bought the ohlins cartridges and I really hope it will be much better
