Good review with some good points made. A hot lap comparison would have been nice, just because. Seems rude not to when you have a track. Couple of small things, the M2 suspension isn’t stock so it would have been good to know what the setup is and how it could influence the comparison and an M Class is a Mercedes suv!! Small niggle but us M car anoraks are a highly strung bunch and at one point I thought I might die! I’d definitely watch more of your content though, especially given I’m really clutching at straws with that critique. Keep it coming!!
I firmly disagree. A lot of us like having options. Those gadgets you mention. You can turn them off if you don't like them. Your comment comes off a bit vintage. We are a different generation than you are.
That is a great way of summarizing! Vintage is accurate. At the track simplification (unless you have a warranty) and lightness (unless you have power and rubber) are key! Stay tuned to the next episodes to see how it actually concludes after track testing!
@@TrackAttackCanada it's not a bad thing. I can see if you couldn't turn off the options but a lot us like tuning the cars the way we want. For example: a lot of people want their cars to ride smooth and soak imperfections in a road, etc. I totally get that. But some of us like a lot of feedback. We like to know what the road feels like beneath us...and we aren't afraid of feeling the bumps. It's rare that any reviews speak badly about some of the Porsche GT Models being really firm, but will hammer an affordable car for similar suspension tuning. I see adjectives like it's too hard, etc. So please let some of us have some joy without complaining about complex menus. Just turn it off if you don't like it. I'm thankful for cars with adjustable suspension, but I don't know why some reviewers think a car has to be complaint ( soft ) in every mode. There are some of us that enjoy our cars being on 11 instead of 6.5.
Great review! But the video quality is a bit off, not refer to the content or shots, it seems suffering from video bitrate/resolution/color range problems.
@@TrackAttackCanada , why would you split it into 2 episodes… you guys literally wasting time talking about bullshit that everyone knows without you…Give people something new, you rented Cayuga, use that opportunity to beat the living shit out of those cars and tell people how the manual sucks cuz it does! To get decent acceleration on the manual G80, use launch control, drop the clutch smoothly, then she will launch… if you do everything correct that G80 should do 1:20-1:21 on the Cayuga! Good luck!
Unfortunately mine is just a modified 2.0T not a V or Blackwing. But for a daily I can't complain! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i_zRqSwrZJE.html
Good points on this review but don't agree about the M2. Its actually little boring. I had it on a 10 days Germany trip on rental and its fun yes but its missing raw speed so much. For me speed is a must in an M-car and the M2 just doesn't have it. The interior is also very below par for an M-car. Not even possible to upgrade to Merino leather, whattt??? The Dakota looks horrid. Both my old M3 E92 and former F80 Competition were on a totally different planet both speed and interiorwise. And the G80 in this video is a big stepup from the F80.
@ Peter Hammer, Coming from an f82 M4 comp E92 and E46 before that I have to say the G82 is a huge step up and the way it can take turns accelerate (have the xdrive) it’s miles ahead. When bmw first came out with their homologation Mcars the point was to go fast. In all mesures the the new M3 and M4 accomplish that. And if if I can get some creature comforts at the same time then why not.
I can understand not liking an M2, and I agree that the interior is not in the same range as older, higher model BMWs. but to say that an E92 M3 is faster is just a false statement
