Always thought this was a great looking car when they launched the concept. Doesn't seem quite as aggressive, but still way better looking than the VW sister cars.
Love the 'west country' accent 🤣I was also very pleasantly surprised to hear that 5 cylinder engine note from the Cupra Formentor test mule at the 'ring too. It would be great if they could fit that in the more conventional hatchback of the 'Leon' as well - although that would probably be impossible with the hierarchy of the Golf R...
Make it masculine with the pronunciation... “Four...men...Tor(Thor!)!” Speech impediment, justh thayin!🤣 Great lighthearted review! Cheers from Oz🇦🇺👍🏼😎🤣
Hi Tim. Really enjoyed the review, and I am seriously considering getting this car. As for pronunciation of Formentor, I am a Spanish speaker with Balearic heritage (Mallorcan). It's pronounced "Four Men Tour." Cheers!
Hi Guys 👋🏻 I always do irony, as I hate shirts being creasy 🤨 I think a previous version of a Leon Cupra, was the first to augment cabin sound with footwell speakers 🤨
@@TimRodieDrivesStuff last car I've seen a proper spare wheel was my wifes 2017 kia cerato, my swift sport had the out of date tyre goop (glad I noticed when I didn't get a flat haha) As always, keep the entertaining reviews coming 👍
The Atteca isn't on the same platform, Formentor is on the MQB Evo and the Atteca is on the older MQB A1. So you should direct some of the cinisism towards yourself.
Lol , your comments are hilarious , currently have a Cupra Ateca and this is quite a good in depth review for this new car , think I’m staying with the Ateca 😬
Formentor is a village, so has they own pronuntiation. Cupra needs the bigger engines of VW group. It would be epic to see a Formentor with 500Hp under 50.000 pounds, the american have the muscle cars and europeans have this fast cars and good amount of power for the money.
@@joshuaelliot2020 Why? No one buys a car as an investment. Its a tool. Do you care about the depreciation on a fridge, laptop, TV, sofa etc? No. Hardly any car except for rare classics or premium and rare supercars hold value so who cares about the depreciation on something like a a cupra , when all of the competitors to that car depreciate at almost the exact same rate. We have known for decades how much cars depreciate. Why start caring now? If you care about depreciation then shop around and get the best deal possible and get one that is 6 months old that has already taken the initial drop in value.
I personally wouldn't but a new VAG product that has that user interface/no buttons. I don't want to crash trying to touch and miss the screen while moving. A step backwards in ergonomics. The cocktail wiener shifter needs to go
A new game for you, Fake or Fun. A blind test. Play us a sound of engine noise from in the cabin and a clip from Forza of the same car and let us guess who does fakery better, video games or real world. Thank me when you're a millionaire!
Apparently its named after the Cap De Formentor Mountain range in Mallorca. But hey thats what the saleswoman told me.. when I ordered this thing last week.. can't wait for it to arrive!!.. BTW great review!
