We are here to show you how to set up and use your Apple CarPlay wirelessly in Ford SYNC 4 Enabled vehicles. Any questions we didn't cover leave them in the comment section below. www.woodridgef... #Ford #CarPlay #Apple
This is slightly misleading, as you’re using Sync 4A, not Sync 4. Apple CarPlay will not work wirelessly with Sync 4, and there is no way to upgrade to Sync 4A from Sync 4, unfortunately.
My car play works great except my phone is low mic when im on a call, but I can hear fine and it works great on Bluetooth, Dealer doesn’t seem interested in fixing it, Its 2 days old
The CarPlay on my F-150 uses the wireless Internet address included with the truck not the unlimited att account I set up. Any way to make it run through my att account?
@@woodridgefordlincoln Thanks for the reply! I will check the app, and I also thought about it defaulting to the free trial. We'll see what happens as the trial is close to ending.
@@jordangrant7860 I figured out that there was a recall for the APIM that was causing the Wi-Fi in the truck to not work along with the wireless CarPlay. I was also having other issues with my truck and ended up trading it in and got a GMC Sierra instead.
@@woodridgefordlincoln 2021 Lariat. But I got it figured out with the help of the FordPass folks. The SDN wasn’t associated with my VIN at the factory so the modem won’t activate. This also explains why I had no remote buttons in the FordPass app. There were several new Ford vehicles that are affected by this that were built around the same time as my F-150. Ford is on it and escalating it.
@@zhaoc5085 I’m still waiting on the FordPass folks to sort it out. Sounds like you’re in the same boat. We’re you able to get FordPass working completely? I would suggest calling the FordPass folks and make sure they add your vehicle to the escalated list.
Okay the fix is a simple one. I just got off the phone with the FordPass Folks. It is a software fix to activate the modem in the vehicle. All dealers have it now. Go to your dealer and give them this incident #49826. A quick update will have your modem activated and you should be good to go!
