Well if it's 90 out it's 100+ inside. I also have protective cover especially when we go camping with our 22' coleman . It gets hot. I welcome the extra feature. Lol
Taking delivery on my 2021 Elevation X31 next week. After 20 years of buying new SUV's and minivans for the wife and kids to trash it's finally my turn to get a new truck. My current rig is over 15 years old. If it were a dog, I would have shot it long ago and buried in the backyard. This is long overdue.
I had a 2006 Dodge Dakota for 17yrs it was time. Now I have this truck in red. The Dakota was underpowered for my 22' coleman camper. Told the wife if we're going to keep camping I needed a bigger newer truck. This fit the capacity I needed. Love it.

Yup just got one in white, but I got the x31 package and blind side alerts and parking sensors. I love it, im glad they made so many options standard now. Even the dual exhaust sounds alright for factory. I like it way more than my 2018 I had.

Just bought the exact same truck, and love it. I read the description on the truck from the dealer and they said it’s turbo charged.. does the elevation have a turbo on 5.3 V8??
@@DeLoEnterprises also is it normal to hear a slight clicking noise when idling? The sales rep said it’s normal and it’s the variable valve timing in the engine
@@minerva3951 no never, it’s just that noise that annoys me, but mines is heavily modified, I have it with an 8 inch lift and I also bypassed the annoying auto stop feature. No more Turning off randomly while I get to a sudden small full stop
I have an 18 Chevy z71 1500 that’s basically identical to what this truck is. I don’t know much about GMC but I really like this truck. Just wondering if I should trade my z71 for it. I’m actually going to test drive this GMC today. Hope I like it
I work in the transmission rebuilders and manufacturing industry.. In my opinion you're much better off with the 6 or 8 speed for longevity and cost of repair.
@@DeLoEnterprises yes, and due to the chip shortage you can not order the Preferred Package either(Bose sound, rear sider, home remote, two 120 outlets and HD camera) also no spray on bed liner on double cab models. Also no sun roof either right now and no DFM on 5.3.
I was reading about the lifters on the 5.2 & 6.2 motors and there is a class action suit as we speak. Primarily 2019 to present because the lifters get stuck . It could be because of the DFM that they went to in 2019. Before that it was the AFM. They have a ton of utube videos on this specific problem. What is your take on this and % of vehicles effected. I heard and was reading it was a problem on there other models of cars like the corvette escalated etc. GM did not have a recall on this and the dealers have to replace the lifters or engine! Top it all off they don't replace both banks but only the effected part. So down the road you could run into that problem and you could be 5hrs + away from home. The warranty can run out then it will cost you. Some have run into this problem from 300 to 30,000 miles. Now GM is telling the dealers once the trucks or cars come in to fix the problem before the customers pick there vehicles. Enlighten me on this please because the rest of us want to know before we drop a ton of money on these vehicles. Thank you!
Nice truck but ridiculous that you have to add another stupid $1250 package to get a 2 speed transfer case after paying $4000 for a 4 wheel drive truck, considering it comes standard on every other manufacturers vehicles and pretty much even on any of the older chevys. Another cash grab by GM. As if we’re going to buy a truck without 4 Low here in Canada.
I want one so bad I’m trying to get out of this dumb Toyota Tacoma lease hopefully I can use it as my down payment or something I hate it and the gmc is my dream truck
@@AC-ly6tg the backup camera sucks and I like driving close to the wheel but I hit my need on everything and not used to the space other than that it drives amazing
