Yvonne Simmons 0 seconds ago My 2023 Santa Fe Limited was delivered 2 days ago. So far, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this vehicle. The technology is a bit intimidating, however; a welcomed challenge to surmount. This video is amazing and very much appreciated. Thanks so very much!
Love your video. I just got a Santa fr rental , I will keep it for min 1 month until my car will be repaired. It’s payd by the insurance and I have unlimited miles. The Santa Fe has more tech then my SQ5 Audi have. Thanks to your great video I’ll be taking numerous road trips and enjoy the fullest. And I subscribe to your channel, cheers 🍻
OMG this is soooo helpful. I recently purchased a hyundai santa fe calligraphy. I was struggling with the usage of all the different buttons and so on. Since I am a visual aid person I absolutely understood every aspect of this cars panel by following your video. So very informative, I understood all instructions and am now enjoying this new vehicle
You showed a cool feature that allows you to auto move driver seat back for easy entry/exit. I just bought a 2023 Santa Fe SEL Hybrid and got excited about this but I do not show a seat option in my car. Is this something only available on a Limited or Caligraphy trim??
I got my Santa Fe Limited a couple weeks ago and I absolutely love it, so much tech and safety features for a fair price, great value! The only thing driving me crazy is that I haven’t been able to find the “Repeat 1”, “Shuffle” icons anywhere on the music screen when I’m streaming with Bluetooth from my iPhone. They’re there when I plug it in and use Apple CarPlay, but not on regular Bluetooth streaming. Is it me or they’re just not there? They’re super useful to me and not having them there is a bigger deal than I thought, a “You don’t know what you have until it’s gone” type of thing.
Great video. Question…. I see that when in sport mode the cluster turns to a sporty red. Can you change to a different theme for each drive mode? I.e….. red for sporty, cube for smart, white for snow mode, etc.
Thanks for the question and the compliment! The sport mode is the only mode in which the dash changes colors, the other modes all look the same. Thanks for watching and don’t forget to hit that subscribe button!
Thanks for the comment. I am not. This would surprise me. Did the phones that you tried have cases on them? Some cases will block wireless charging. Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much for this incredibly helpful video. I was told my car came with heated steering wheel but cannot figure out how to turn it on. I have heated seat buttons but cannot find the steering wheel one! Any idea where I can find it?
Thanks for the compliment! We’re glad it was helpful. The heated steering wheel button should be located in the second row of buttons just to the left of the steering wheel. It will have a steering wheel symbol printed on the button. Hope that helps and thanks for wTchin
Is there any way to show what radio station is currently selected either in the dash or on the infotainment unit while you are using Waze with carplay?
Thanks for the compliment. If it does it would appear between the rom and speedometer gauges when you push the menu button on the right side of the steering wheel 2x. Hope that helps, thanks for watching and don’t forget to hit that subscribe button!
Is there a way to move the speedometer to the right side and the rpm to the left side on the display? This is the only vehicle we have had with the tach and speedometer sides reversed from normal.
Thanks for the question. Unfortunately there is not. Perhaps in a future update they will add that feature, but for now, you cannot swap them. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
If there is, it would be the silver button on the far right side of the steering wheel. If you look at it closely, it is the audio controls. A push up should change tracks to the next track, while pressing down should go backwards one track. If that does not work, then you can’t control that feature from the steering wheel. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
LOL the last time i bought a new car was a couple years after i graduated college in 2005 hahahahaha Ive driven 98K miles since then and am thinking of getting a new vehicle next summer/fall when the chip shortage is over. It's gonna be weird to just push a button instead of moving a gear shift lol
@@MG-jv7pe it's been 7 months since you wrote that comment, and I am sorry to tell you, now on Feb 2022 the chip shortage still going on!. I just get a 2022 Santa Fe Limited and I got ripped off by the dealer: 7,500.00 down and 600.00 a month. This is definitely a bad time to buy a car.
Thanks for the question. While I did not get a good chance to fully try out the sound system, I did try it with the built in sounds the Hyundai puts in (rain forest, rain, cafe, etc) and they were very good. Hope that helps thanks for watching and don’t forget to hit that subscribe button!
Thanks for the question. According to Hyundai, you should have wireless Apple CarPlay as an option instead of using the usb cable. To book to apple CarPlay follow the these directions: If you unpair your phone from the vehicle, then on your phone’s Bluetooth settings, click on the Hyundai connection and tell your phone to forget the connection, then re-pair the phone again via Bluetooth, you should get a message asking if you want to use Apple car play. Click Yes or Continue. Finish up by filling the directions on your vehicles infotainment screen, and your phone screen. When done you should have CarPlay on your infotainment screen. My other thought is, since it should work with a usb connection, is it possible you plugged into a charge only usb port? Try plugging it your phone with the usb cable but find a different usb port in the front to plug into. Only one of the two usb ports allows you to connect via Apple CarPlay the other one is a charging port only. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Thanks for the question. According to the owners manual, the temperature, heated drivers seat and heated steering wheel are automatically set by the vehicle depending on the outside and inside temperatures and as long as the engine is running. But you do need to turn that feature on so here are the steps that should help you do just that. - Setup → Vehicle Settings → Seat → Heated/Ventilated Features → Heated/ Ventilated Features → Auto. Controls That Use Climate Control Settings. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching and don’t forget to hit that subscribe button!
Thanks for the question. Yes. The radio volume should go down a bit while Navigation is speaking to you, and then will resume normal volume when Navigation is done speaking to you. Thanks for watching and don't forget to hit that subscribe button!
question: in your opinion, how accurate are the trip information data? In other makes/models, I've learned their data was not as accurate as one would expect
Hard to tell without using an ODBII reader to gather all the trip data independently of the programming of the cars displays. If you’ve seen others makes information vary in accuracy it’s always possible that it could happen here too. We don’t that for sure so best to gather your own data and judge for yourself. Thanks for getting
How do you get the Map to show on the left side of the split screen and the Radio on the right ? I don’t need to see what radio station I’ve got selected in the largest split 🙏
Thanks for the question. When your in the navigation screen, click on the small box with a short arrow on it that is on the right of the screen. That will create the split view for you. Thanks for watching!
@@TwoGuysandaRide many thanks, that I understand. If I just press the Map button and am not using Navigation I would like the Map in the larger of the split screens and the radio station showing in the smaller split 🙏
@@garyfry3795 ok then you should be able to open navigation and then in the split screen swipe up or down in the smaller window to change the content of the split screen. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
@@TwoGuysandaRide looks like it’s worked. Having tried it and switched the car off and back on, I now get the Map (when pressing Map) in the large screen. That said, if I press Radio that will also default to the larger of the split screens but at least the most recent selection goes to the larger split. Thank you 🙏
I just bought a 2022 Santa Fe calligraphy. I don't like to plug in my phone every time to pull up android auto to listen to my music. My question is how do I switch sources in Bluetooth audio? How do I switch from Spotify to Amazon music? Or Pandora to iHeartRadio? Thanks
Thanks for the question. If your going to use your bluetooth as your phone connection, you have 2 choices, one is to switch sources manually on your phone, or I think you can use the voice command button (press and hold for about 2 seconds) to acces your siri or google assistant and tell them to open the approproiate app. Thanks for watching and don't forget to hit that subscribe button!
Let me clarify. So there is no way to switch sources in the native Bluetooth app without pulling out your phone? In the video you switched from Pandora to apple music from the Bluetooth application on the infotainment screen. That's what I wanted clarification on. Sorry for not explaining it better. Thanks in advance.
No problem! Pandora just happened to be already playing on my phone when I pressed the Bluetooth icon. In the video, apple CarPlay is greyed out (not running) as I had not hooked my phone in through that. So… yes, if you are connected via Bluetooth, the only ways to switch sources on your phone are either physically or via voice command (press and hold for about 2 sec). I would suggest trying out the voice command button and accessing Siri or the Google Assistant on your phone. If you have not used that feature before, you can tell your phone to open any app and it will. If it’s a music app such as Pandora then that will show up in your infotainment screen even if your only connected via Bluetooth. Hope that helps and thanks again for watching!
So I have had my Santa Fe plug-in hybrid now for a few weeks and covered 3000kms in it. The infotainment system is great except for one thing. The telephone system constantly looses the favourites that I program in. They stay there for a day or two then the disappear again. I have given up setting the favourites everyone because I know they will disappear again. Have you got any tips for this??
Thanks for the question. Unfortunately my best advice is to take it back to the dealership and let them first x it under warranty. Favorites, once stored, should never be lost unless possibly when the battery is disconnected. Short of that it’s a software issue within the system itself. Thanks for watching!
@@TwoGuysandaRide thanks for that. I did take it into the dealership and they noticed the software hadn't been updated. So....they did an update and it's all working great. No problem with phone contact "favourites" because it's no longer an option!!
@@chamonixcabs thanks for the update. Interesting that phone contact favorites is no longer an option, obviously you weren’t the only one with that issue. Thanks once again for watching!
Most new cars have a break in period before you start seeing it’s best mileage. Also understand that EPA fuel estimates are gathered under the most optimal conditions of temperature wind number of passengers in the vehicle and such that’s why they always state, “your mileage Mary vary”. @@jared394 my Honda accord started at 39mpg. After a few weeks I was up to 53mpg. I also learned how to use the pedal and braking to help. One thing I had to do was stop punching the gas. Lol now I’m a pro at drying a hybrid lol
Thanks for the question. To access updates press and hold on the setup button on the right side of the screen. That should bring you to the page for updates. From there just follow the fire on the screen. Thanks for watching and don’t forget to hit that subscribe button!
There are 3 themes on the cluster and 3 drive modes, but when you cycle between the modes...only 2 are available: the white cluster is same for SMART and COMFORT. The blueish cluster is not available. Hyundai need to fix this. or at least to have a 3 different choices for the different drive modes.:()
Maybe I need to be on the road to do this, but I cannot find any instructions about how to disable Smart Cruise Control. I like CC, but not SCC. Anyone know how I set it to off, while still using Cruise Control?
Thanks for the question. To select just plain cruise control you need to press and hold the Driving Assist button (cruise control on/off button on the right side of the steering wheel it will have a speedometer on it). That should turn off scc. You may need to be moving, but I think it will also work if your parked. If for some reason that does not turn off scc, then your vehicle only came with scc. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Thanks for the question. We did not experience any unusual time lag when using the touch screen. We’ve driven many different brands and trim levels and this system worked very well. Thanks for watching
In the digital cluster, the 2nd screen, what is the “Auto Stop Timer”. I can’t find anywhere in my manual of what this is for to know when I would want to use it and it’s driving me crazy 😜 lol
Thanks for the question. The auto stop timer is I believe keeping track of how long the engine has been “idle stopped “. Like when you come to a stoplight the engine turns off until you press the accelerator. So it’s measuring that “non idling “time. You can reset it through the steering wheel controls. Hope that helps thanks for watching!
@@TwoGuysandaRide thank you! I recently purchased a 2021 Santa Fe Calligraphy 2.5T AWD model and your videos have been SO helpful on all the little odds and ends things my dealer didn’t go over with me. Thank you so much for putting these out!!
Thanks for the question. Manually. There is not an oil life or percentage gauge. There is a check oil light on the dashboard that will come on if the oil pressure is low. Under settings there is a “Service Interval Reminder” that you can set if that’s helpful. Thanks for watching!
One thing to check is that the controller for the intermittent wipers is set to a higher speed. When set low it can take a long time for the wipers to move when in the auto mode. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the question. Although I have not tried it, supposedly you can if your in park using media from a usb, but take it out of park and it will quit playing, otherwise the answer is no. Thanks for watching!
There are garage door buttons right underneath the rear view mirror. Check out our full review of this vehicle at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VHdamkYwWfw.html. If you look at 10:42 you’ll see the 3 home link buttons under the mirror. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the question. To change time you should be able to just click on the clock, and it will open the window for you to adjust the time. Thanks for watching!
