Good video and I love the detail but I feel it's unfair you compare the top end Fireblade as well as the top end R1M to the base ZX-10R and not the ZX-10RR. It would be better to compare the base model of each maybe.
I imagine they took that into consideration. It wouldn't be hard to guesstimate from the seat of your pants and knowledge of the specs how much better the upgraded bike might be.
Awesome work boys. Bet guy in BMW thought "I'll show this biker how to do the Mountain", not realising knowing its Boothy behind him , who then makes him look like he's going backwards. 😂

Boothy has put this channel on another level. Having Boothy and Fagan doing this bike test gives it previously-unseen levels of credibility and entertainment.
And the winner is ........ motorcycling! If this doesn't motivate one to ride bikes then move on. Quite simply a superb production. Well done chaps and thanks to all involved. I have marshalled at the TT in some fairly atrocious conditions and goodness me the weather so makes a difference; dry tarmac and sun - wow! The enthusiasm in your commentaries is palpable. Empirical data in testing has its place but for me, the emotion and experience that you folk have maintains 44 Teeth as the primary channel for our motorcycling passion . Well done.

I have to say, I knew the new Aprilia is going to be good and thought there might be surprises but didn't ever think this will be the end result. It really shows you that some small changes and the right tire can make all the difference. Fantastic production guys, thank you very much for providing us with this excellent video.
@@jorgezx6r Aprilia seem to have resolved the previous deficiency of RSV-4 electronics. Not enough to beat Ducati but all the rest. Still better value than Ducati so long as you have the dealer support, which BMW lead on overall..
They’re all great bikes, and great to see them stretched. The shots, as Boothy maxed them over the top of the mountain and at sunrise, made this one of the best of your vids. We all went silent as the Ducati topped out… excellent.
Huge amount of work, obviously. Can't wait to watch this evening (still stuck at work in the ol' US of A). This, and BBB coming, it's almost feeling normal again...Keep it up!!!
Lucky for me I watch these while editing motorcycle photos at work 😅 Kind of lucked out, but waiting for 107 photos to export isn't exactly fun in the first place! This certainly is a great channel for time passing!
@@jordanjoestar8839 life could be worse! I always appreciate the picture guys on track days. Every once in a while they make it look like I almost know what I'm doing. :)
@@jordanjoestar8839 Hey, how'd you end up with a gig like that? I love bikes and I've been getting onto photography for the last few months. You are lucky!
I'm glad Boothy mentioned how he had to consciously keep the fact there was opposing traffic in mind, because I kept wondering the same thing... I can't imagine how hard it must be to be a competitive racer around that course and then have to watch for oncoming cars when your brain is telling you to take the same line you always do.
Really enjoyed that, thanks for all the effort you guys put into this. It was particularly interesting to me having recently owned (in order) the R1, Panigale V4, Aprilia then back to an R1. I completely agree with the comments regarding the sharpness of brakes actually being a slight negative and the need for a change of tyre on the Panigale. The Aprilia would still be in my garage if it had a little more room for me to get into a decent ‘tuck’, and if it had the same comprehensive dealer network of other brands. On that note, my Panigale spent an unhealthy amount of time in the dealership having all sorts of mechanical/software issues resolved. I ended up back with the R1 because even though it’s almost 7-years old in it’s current guise (save for a few updates) it just felt like the brand new offerings from other manufacturers were only really ‘as good’ or only marginally better in very skilled hands. It wasn’t enough to keep me away from - what is to me - a very familiar and competent platform. We really are at the point at which it’s just ‘splitting hairs’ with these bikes. I’m (clearly) no expert, but surely any circa 200bhp superbike, with an IMU, decent suspension etc. is really only physically limited in its performance by how it’s been set up, the ergos, the physical limits of grip offered by the tyre and - most importantly of all - the skill of the rider to exploit its potential. Beyond this it comes down to how the bike makes you ‘feel’ and your own reason for ownership. The Panigale made me feel really special, even though some locals at South End Pier were more interested in my mates R1 one sunny day (heathens). The Aprilia felt super precise and was, arguably, the most competent feeling bike I’ve ever ridden. The R1 just feels like home to me. I can’t help that I guess. It’s the first bike I ever ‘Tracked’ and I feel very confident on it. To me, all three sound amazing. It’s too close to call between the R1 and Aprilia, with the Panigale a close second. They all look beautiful, although the Panigale wins. Before going back to the R1 I wanted to like the Blade, but it was just missing something for me. The Suzuki was good value, but felt a bit dated. Kawasaki is always out as that’s what my Brother always rode. The BMW was tempting, but I’ve seen too many guys on track and road have silly reliability issues, as well as the rather off-putting dash warnings you mentioned in the video. So, it was back to the R1. Anyway, I’ve rambled on enough. Thanks again for the video. Keep safe, Ed 👍
Nice well informed comment 👍 I can relate to what feels right and I think it comes from bottom time. I ride the Kawasaki and everything they say is everything I love. Especially on the road. But I totally accept that's it's because it's seen more of my bottom than anything else (albeit close to the Yammy) and I've enjoyed every second. Oh and mine is my daily too. I can't imagine riding all year, all weather on the Ducati 🤷♂️. The last thing I'll say is mine is a 2016 and I can't let it go. Mainly because I hate technological interference with the likelihood and expense of things going wrong. But hey, that's my 2c.
As someone who's comming from RN22 "down" to 954RR and considering buying 2015+ superbike I've read this comment thinking the same thing. Having in mind all comments that are very similar to Yours, I think R1 is a no-brainer, the only thing that concerns me is that agressive riding body position, I tend to ride 250km in one way, race it hard for 30km, then back home for a other 250km. Perhaps the sound shall keep me motivated.
I've been watching motorcycle content on RU-vid for the last 10 or so years, and this is by far the best video I've seen. Well done lads for the high production value and entertainment!

Very maturely reviewed. Loved the fact you guys said, "it's about flavor you want" rather than this is better than that... Yessss, bang on this lads, best superbike shoot out to date. Helmet cams, fast bikes and some hooligan riding! Miles better than the previous year's two part chat fest...bravo!
I want to see the theory discussed tested. If you buy the zx10r or the GSXR and put 10k into it do you end up with a bike better than the Ducati? Would be great content.
Great video boys! We’re blessed to have this amazing content so thank you. Have to say, I just LOVE the Suzuki. Couldn’t care less about the outdated screen or lack of tech, it looks factory and is a solid bike. No nonsense keyless bollocks, road friendly. I am a Suzuki fan boy but I think it’s completely under rated.
@@tonebonetones I just love Suzukis!! They have such a solid feel to them, a great front end and even though they're cheaper they feel quality. IMO it looks by far the best most exotic bike. Can't beat that MotoGP blue.
Yes! Minimal electronic Bovine Excrement interrupting my connection to the bike and far less expensive for its intended purpose which is after all, Street Riding! Suzuki or Yamaha Thank You Very Much.

This is insanely good content! When i go out on sundays to the curch of brap, this is what i aim to do. be fast on mountain passes with my bike. Dont get me wrong, i love track comparisons, but waving to a tram just before casually doing 150, is my cup of tea! Good job lads
After so many years.... this content on RU-vid...is probably one of the best motorcycle comparison ever made.... It's just insane what you pulled out of!!!!
Bravo lads, appreciate your opinions and accept that that is exactly what they are. Pick your flavor and go ride! But that 180 mph segment by Boothy was tits...
Thank you from the U.S., a stay at home exec, daughters at university, and a sports bike nerd. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this. (Yes, my life is a bit boring during the week).
Fantastic episode or what everyone would consider this! Love watching these while I edit/import/export photos at work (I do motorcycle photography lucky me!). Makes my days much more enjoyable while waiting for 100s of photos to upload. Great video. Fireblade is beautiful but overall, considering price and comfort, the GSXR is a no Brainer. Helps that they are bomb proof 😅. Sometimes less tech is a major benefit. My Suzuki has no ABS or rider aids, so it has become one with me, truly.
Completely agree regarding the Suzuki, they have something special and are so cheap in comparison. Honda's a race bike. Ducati is beautiful but too expensive for most. I love the R1 but sounds too uncomfortable. The Aprilia is worth it for the sound alone!! The BMW is just fantastic, if a little soulless.
Absolutely. I despise the electronic Rider “aids” as I’ve been riding for let’s say “awhile” (bought a 1972 Honda SL350 brand new at age 14) so electronic gadgets to me are nothing but Separating a Rider from his Ride! Add in the absolutely buttery smooth and indestructible Suzuki gearbox and, Yes Thank You Very Much! I’m not going Racing anymore so if I’m buying a Superbike it’s the Suzuki or Yamaha.
One of the test, if not the best, last for words just excellent. I’m looking for a new bike and you have just do all the work for me. Keep up the excellent work lads👏👏👏
Wow, amazing effort & test lads. Puts the big boys like MCN to shame. Interestingly you were going quicker on the Fireblade when it cut out than I would when at full chat on it lol.
Great video . I can remember the times riding the mountain when I was still in the UK, bought back memories. Sorry to say due to our dystopian nightmare here in NZ my track bike and trailer will be sold soon, just holding on to my road bike whilst I can before they come for me. Best of luck Chris. HOLD THE LINE!
Same here mate, in Auckland suffering jacindas dystopian dream and missing track days. Getting out on the bike up SH16 feels like the only true freedoms left in this world
Weird review!!!! Moaned about modern electronics, saying don’t fit them, yet complained that the Suzuki doesn’t have them and is too old??? Make your minds up guys
That was the whole review. "It is yet it isn't" "yeah yeah" " but it just doesn't do it but it does" "yeah yeah yeah yeah" " it works really good yet it doesn't quite do it " "yeah yeah yeah"
That fireblade, battery going out is unforgivable from Honda IMO. Especially the price they are asking for it. That Ducati though, defo the winner for me
@@jacobhendrickson8935 you'd have thought it would be as easy as that eh? What concerns me more is the bike dies WHILST it's running, surely if the engine is running it would be charging the battery? Or does it not have a stator? Perhaps that's an optional extra for the "reliability package" 🤣
@@Vintaronica no actually I don’t but I thought you did. Was just fishing I suppose. Lol I seen it died while running so immediately thought it was more than the battery. I have a lot of times where in comments I make a opinion I know as fact then it turns into debate so I steer clear mostly. Lol I was just wondering if I missed something in the video where they claimed it’s just a battery issue or something else I missed. Definitely appears to be a charging issue and that would have been the last bike I would have thought would fail on them. Lol Yamaha fan hear and think the R1 is so much better than most realize. I think Kawasaki only beat it out because it’s an all new platform. You heard them talk about how good the r1 engine is and we all know it turns like no other plus has excellent software to boot.
I’m showing a comment from jonno94 in my notification feed asking if I thought they just carried 6 spare batteries in case one went out. When I click on it I get brought here but don’t see his comment. So I was only able to read his first sentence. Let me correct you first jonno there was 7 bikes here so they would need 7 batteries. Lol I would have thought the Isle of Man would surely have a motorcycle place that stocked some batteries but doubt that’s all it needed or surely they would have grabbed one. If all the needed was a battery that would definitely not be a problem being the had 7 bikes there and 6 of them had good batteries. I’d be willing to bet one of them would fit.
That sunrise is absolutely beautiful. great video, looks like a ton of fun. They say if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life. You guys are living the dream, hope you enjoyed yourselves. much love from the tuscarawas valley in ohio. i hope to ride those roads some day.
This was such an awesome review. This is the kind of thing most of us riders will be using these kind of bikes for. Don't get me wrong if I'm ever able to ride anywhere near this pace, I'll change my name to Rossi McMarquez and go earn my cheese on a race track, but still what an awesome and useful review!
This was by far the best bike shoot out this year. It was at the bloody Isle of MAN !?! You all are my favourite motorcycle channel including mcn ! I personally love that the V4S got top spot. You’ve blown all your viewers away here. Not that JHS was anything to do with this but I must say Hello to that Ginormous STUD ! Keep these good video’s rollin.

Epick stuff Boys!! As usual 44teeth delivers epick content as always! Ps Not to pick pick up on anything but Suzuki just spank everyone in the Endurance World championships yet again! 1st place in Le Mans 24H 1st place in Boldor 24H and overall win in the 2021 championship :)
Another cracking review guys!! This is why i love 44 teeth, at 34min in the video introducing the Honda,Boothy can scratch his right ball and its not edited out...
I absolutely love my Panigale V4SP. It's next level with the CF wheels, upgraded chain/sprocket, brake master, rearsets, etc. There is nothing it doesn't do perfectly.
Considering the cost of an exhaust and the power gains you dont get, wheels are probably the best upgrade you can do to a bike. Having gone from an 03 Mille to an 03 RSV-R I can't say there was a massive difference in cast vs forged ally, but a set of Dymag CA5 on my RC8R... Just wow.
@@Zeebo1uk this is true but I’d be willing to bet you put Jake Gagne on a super stock he could win superbike on it. A couple years ago Josh herrins superbike wasn’t at a race on time so he rode his stock R1s which is not as capable as the standard R1 and led the race for a bit. Did really well on a stock R1S.
