I have owned 2 super Dukes. Engine is perfect street power. All that power and torque below 9000 rpm. You definitely do not need to scream the engine for horsepower. It barely idles. It makes more horsepower and torque till 9500 than any other bike including, Aprilia, Streetfighter, Kawasaki ZH2, etc. it’s a beast
I bought the evotech tail tidy as I hate seeing bare wires hanging out. Plus evotech Is billet aluminum vs stamped rusting steel of competitors. This is a $20,000 bike. Another $100 are Pennies.
Thank you, welcome to the Superduke club! www.leovince.com/en-au/product/15243b-lv-10-black-stainless-steel-ktm-1290-super-duke-r-2020-2020 I bought the slip on straight from the leo vince website
European bikes are nice as plenty of power from the factory. No stage 1-4 like Harley to make power that should be stock from factory. Just a few protection mods and a slip on as Euro 5 noise restriction is too aggressive. Tail tidy and radiator protector, done.
Got the same bike with the same mods, have a look at Kanoxide , it’s a uk company, they do great quality decals , I’ve got the R that’s under the rear seat in kTm orange 👌
You have some nice mods on your 1290 but you need to stiffen your front fork preload your fork travel indicators are at bottom, this could cause you to crash when your hard on the front brakes and hit a bump with no suspension travel left. I would add three full turns of fork preload (+ hard) to start, that's CW to both forks, shoot for .75 to 1 inch off the bottom would be where you want your indicators to end up when your pushing the bike. ride safely.

He has videos discussing the gen1, 2 suspension which is good for any sdr owner to learn. Enjoy
Thanks mate, the mirrors are made by KTM on the KTM power parts catalogue. Only difference is I couldn’t find any for the 1290R so I bought the mirrors for a ktm 390 and it still fit. They’re super easy to adjust as they can be positioned freely while riding
Yeah mate no worries, here are the Mirors, they are made by KTM so you can find them on their power parts website. www.ktm.com/en-nl/parts---wear/powerparts/products.html?c1=1001509685&year=2022&segment=Naked%20Bike&model=F9903V2&product=1002896773

Hey, did you end up getting the 'bash plate'? there is very little info regarding the 2021-22 model. An update or recommendation for one would be appreciated. thanks! (wish you continued your super duke videos btw)
Hey! No, I haven't gotten around to purchasing one yet but I do know that PUIG and Evotech make them for this bike. Maybe search the term 'Engine guard' It shows more results. Aw the weather has been really rotten in Australia at the moment, huge floods and non stop rain due to the Ill Nina weather pattern :( I am going to record heaps more when the weather passes
@@gearslateau4811 That's great news, thank you! I have found the Evotech ones etc, but all the photos are from real close up! you dont actually get to the what the bike looks like with it installed. Ill keep searching!! and looking forward to seeing more videos from you. Thanks for the reply!!
