Thank you so much! It's always a relief to get intelligent viewers (those who don't watch theatrics, but pure educational videos). So thank you for dropping by! Hope you have subscribed 🙏💕
That's a good question. In fact, it is good because none of the reviewers in India (including Autocar, etc.) have been able to understand 4WD properly despite being in the industry since the Stone Age. I will make a video on this soon. Stay tuned!
How to look at a thar in stockyard and find out if it has MLD or not after this cost cutting MLD move by mahindra? Showroom guys are still confused which diesel model will come with MLD as its written as "Optional" in LX diesel in official catalogue.
@@RealAutoReviews i Spoke to mahindra today and cust care said MLD is available in all diesel variants and not available in petrol any more. However the official brochure states it as an "Optional pack" for LX diesel. So the confusion is, will it come by default on the LX Diesel top spec or will mahindra provide an option to customer to get it included in their build or get it installed like an accessory from service center. Even they don't have answer to these queries. So the only option is to physically check the hardware during PDI before accepting the car to make sure MLD is there.
@@NilayShah and you can't do that from outside. You will have to open the differential, which they won't allow. Give me a day to check this and get back to you. Ideally there should be some marking / number on the diff housing. In the meantime, ask the dealer to connect you with their service head and ask this question, "From outside what is the differentiating factor in both differentials". They use an Eaton MLD. I will try to get the part numbers.
@@RealAutoReviews Thanks, awaiting the info. On a side note, If you are able to get that accurate info and create a video on "How to check if your Q3 2022 Thar has MLD" you will get a lot of views and linkbacks. Just saying.
The MLD feature is now removed from Thar petrol and made optional in diesel variants only which are manufactured after Sept 2022. A pretty bad cost cutting move by Mahindra at the same time cheating the enthusiasts by reducing its off-road capability through this cheap move. Btw that Casio GWG200 Mudmaster👌
