Here we have my 2021 Mazda3 2.5 Turbo Premium Package before and after with the stock exhaust and catback exhaust. the only other mod I currently have is the K&N drop in filter. cold Start and some revs so you can here the difference.
I know there is lots of hype now that the 80mm is out but the 63.5mm sounds plenty deep and with the tiny stock turbo having the full 63.5mm cat back I clearly have more power of the line and the turbo hits harder, if you don't need just the bit deeper sound of the 80mm and have no plans for a bigger turbo later, save your money and go with the 63.5mm. When driving normal I even get better mileage from not having to goose it as much to get off the line but it's also hard to resist getting on it more now, hehe... Also, while the CS mid section may be barely wider than the stock at the widest, it eliminates the completely unmonitored 2nd cat that's a restriction and is also mandrel bent and without some flat/pinch spots like the stock has too. If you want *just* sound, get just the axle back, if you want actual gains get the whole cat back.
I just brought the 63.5 mid pipe to connect with my magnaflow. I definitely prefer a deeper sounds than the racey sound. Magnaflow has a sporty note to it by it self but in my opinion it is the quieter muffler to get.
Thanks! The cold Start is loud but unless you are gunning it, it's not very loud. Over 50 cruising I think the wind noise is louder. It sounds pretty natural to me. If you want a louder exhaust I heard people are using the borla axleback with the corksport midpipe. Also late fall corksport is supposed to release an 80mm turbo back.
@@pickitup407 the 80mm has been released as a cat back! Looked up this video because a bunch of people that already have this set up are selling to make room for the 80mm. I was going to save up for the new one but found the 63mm for a killer price
Have you noticed any difference in your gas mileage since installing this exhaust? Did you change the midpipe as well? I've been considering these parts for my 2021 turbo hatch as well, but I'm wary to make the gas mileage any worse than it already is T_T
I drove it for about 3 days before I got my JB4, during those 3 days I got the same. It's not great, 23mpg. But after the JB4, I run map 1 most of the time I'm at 21mpg.
Yes, I have the full cat back. And those exhaust tips are the appearance package the standard exhaust tips will be tucked under the bumper. I also got one of the limited release SRIs so I will be making a new video soon comparing JB4 maps and intake noise
@@cabeglasgow as the man says, stock I never got 300 with my turbo. The most I had was 290 and I don't think the exhaust will affect that. The mid pipe is only .5 mm bigger than stock. I can't say for sure how much it will change because of the JB4 I'm running.
I am working on a video with the corksport short ram intake. This car is not my Daily, so it's hard to take time out for it, but probably by this weekend I'll have something up.
@@_purejosh I got the magnaflow and I do like it. It not loud but I did order a Corksport mid pipe section for the extra flow and sound so it could be louder. It’s the sporty sound and most quiet muffler to get for the Mazda 3.
I am not sure why y’all be buying stuff for sound! To me it’s pointless it’s the performance that matters. You can sound like you going fast but ya ant going no where corksport ! 🤣🤣🤣🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Exhaust upgrades are just supporting mods for tuning no matter what platform you look at. You won't get serious gains from any bolt ons without a good tune. The car is pretty fast already and the exhaust gives it a little personality in my opinion.
