Column shifters are way better. I do not want it to clutter the console

Console shifters are soooo last decade. Column is the best place with the modern auto box

I agree. I've seen them in person and they are very disappointing to look at. This generation of E-class is a complete design failure in my opinion.

Yeah but the next generation C class is only going to have inline-4 engine options so this would be the least expensive RWD/ AWD Mercedes-Benz sedan 🤦🏽‍♂️🙄

What do you mean this car makes zero sense? 🤦 Infotainment technology is not the only thing that makes these cars different or valuable. The E-Class is still a more refined car in terms of driving, especially with adaptive, multi-chamber air suspension for all wheels. The C-Class does not get that. More silence in the cabin, better quality, smoothness, and other luxury touches that the C-Class does not have, or does have, but not to the same degree as the E-Class. Not to mention the size. The E-Class is bigger, and some may still want that. Saying this car makes no sense just because a cheaper car has better infotainment is what makes no sense. There are many things that the E-Class stands out with from the C-Class. The new C-Class is epic, yes, but it is not on the level of this E-Class. By your logic, W222 S-Class facelift made no sense because a much cheaper A-Class had better infotainment technology. Are you seriously just buying these cars for the infotainment? They offer so much more than just the amazing infotainment. I certainly did not buy for just the infotainment.

If I had to guess, I'd speculate that this black inner ring serves as structural reinforcement for the wheel, as well as protecting the outer spokes from brake dust. I find it pretty interesting and intriguing. MBZ is known for innovating in all areas, so I'm pretty sure it serves a purpose.

Three years is not the global warranty, and you can extend it. The steering wheel is fine. Actually test it rather than just copying and pasting what others say. There are so many different trim options rather than "dull shiny black wood that looks like plastic." The ambient lighting can be turned off...and it does not look like neon lights. Looks are subjective. You will get use to it for sure. Stop whinging for the sake of it.

Looks are subjective, not objective. Just because you don't like the designs, does not mean there is any problem. The world does not revolve around you. A lot of people hated the design of the cars you deemed beautiful. I have seen it. Getting any car or putting value on it just for its design is absolutely shallow. Why don't you value it more because of its drive, comfort, refinement, or whatever the car you are looking is suppose to be? Don't be shallow.

@@kristians2704 The only difference is the rear wheel drive. Almost all the newer Hyundais have 12 inch screens and leather interiors

Objectively, Mercedes and Hyundai are no comparison, from any angle, tradition, brand power/respect, cool factor, etc. You get what you pay for, in this case, you get a little much what you pay for Hyundai (I mean in a good way).. you get Mercedes for the price. I'm not sure it is something you can afford though.
