i am not from the area. Is the flooding because some of that water should have been snow by now? is it warmer than normal? i would have thought flooding would happen in April when the snow melted in the mountains. Yes, i have heard of the wildfires burning hundred year old forests so the trees and their roots are no longer there to hold on to the rainwater. i used to visit BC in the 1990s, it was way different than now. i wish somebody that is 60 and has lived there forever could comment on what is going on.
Pretty much all of the area's you recorded were lowlands/floodplain. The golf and fields... that's all flood plain. I don't get it why people are shocked when floodplain actually flood.
