@@BooneDownSouth sure did but I live in AZ so it’s expected over time. Same I waited until I could find a rebel in this color and I feel the bug guard looks the best on the rebel

Well I don't know if you actually need the bumpers or not but I put mine on anyway. You may be okay without them.

@@thddad6191 I have not installed the bumpers to date... on both side of the hood (both ends of the deflector) there is no way the deflector will ever touch the hood as it is too rigid, however in the center it is much more flexible so I am going to install them onto the back of the deflector and not the hood. This is my take on it!

Hey Laura! Congrats on your '23 Rebel. So I just replaced the deflector last month. It took a crack right around the 3rd screw hole in from the left side. I don't know if it took a rock hit to that spot or what, but I take my rebel through the carwash a lot, like 2-3 times a week. Like if I am driving by the carwash, its going through it. I didn't notice anything wrong until I hit the carwash and it started lifting up the left side of the deflector and I was like uh oh. So I don't know if that is just a defect due to quality or if it was a fluke thing. On my 2008 1500 Ram I had the OEM deflector on that for 8 years so I dunno. Anyway, I did look around for other options last month but in my opinion I couldn't find another option so I just replaced it with the same thing hoping the initial damage was from a rock hit or just a fluke or my excessive car washing ;)

Yea I read reviews that it cracked where screws were. Probably really good with deflecting but read several reviews breakage occurred more on stress points/ where secured. Two years not bad but eight is way better! I just like this one on how the matte black blends well with grill. Still debating, but looks like this is still the only option, sadly, besides a tough guard (which is a hard no for me)for 5th Feb rebels with sport hood. Thanks for your quick response. So I did some looking around and I can't come up with a 100% answer. I believe it will because the 2022 is still a 5th gen ram with same body style. However, when I try to look it up at different places on line some say it fits and some say no but they are all automated drop down lists, and when the newer vehicles come out these websites are not updated for quite some time it seems. I would call Ram/Mopar direct and ask them if this is the part you need before you purchase. I went to ramtrucks to look up the part number for the 2022 and you can't pull up any accessory parts on their website for the 2022. Definitely call before you buy cause from what I am seeing online I cannot confirm if it will or won't.

I hit the carwash once a week or so so I haven't really noticed a big issue with that.

@Mike Hoskins - Yea no kidding right! Fortunately my truck was pretty new and clean so I didn't need to pull out more but yea if the truck was weathered that little scrap wouldn't cut it. You are right about that!

It came with the kit to put on the metal brackets.

I think it works pretty good. I hit the carwash at least once a week and there is usually not much bug splatter on the hood. Maybe a spot of two but thats it. Meanwhile there are a lot more on the grill, front bumper etc.. So I would say it does a decent job of deflecting the bugs up and over. With this deflector I did not notice any additional wind noise once it was installed either which is a bonus.

Yea, I mean before I put it on I was getting more splats and I definitely don't see that as much now. The one thing that made the biggest difference was the mud flaps I put on. Wow what a difference those made.

@@BooneDownSouth I feel that. I have the same ones as well. I am just trying to prevent rock damage. It’s a pain in the Midwest. I already will have to get my windshield replaced, but I don’t want to have to keep getting my windshield cha he’s and thought a deflector will help.

I don't think anything saves gas on a hemi!
