Nice review, very dynamic and interesting. The graphics are nice to absorve all that numbers and data, but I suggest that you also could show the conversion from mpg to km/h😉 Keep the good work!
My father in law has been driving Renault cars since 2004 the Scenic, Kadjar and he’s now got a Captur for the second time. He’s never broken down once and he’s had them from new for three years, so I can’t say what reliability is like after three years anyway hope what I’ve said helps.
I’m really happy to see Carbuyer rise again with these new presenters! And hopefully Renault will equip the Captur here in Brazil with a better powertrain: today we have a 1.6 SCe + manual or CVT transmition (which feels too slow) or 2.0 F4r - a great engine, with the horrible 4 speed automatic!
This looks quite stylish, practical and a big step forward from the original inside. But I can't help thinking they've missed a trick by not offering a full electric version given the popularity of small SUV's and Renault's EV experience.
Carbuyer used to be helmed by Mat Watson before he moved to Carwow. This channel has barely grown since and now Carwow has 5 million subs, wow indeed. Decent review from a fun presenter so hopefully this channel picks up some momentum
A breath of fresh air. Please review some big estates ... and I don't mean Downton ! :) Superb L&K vs Premium 5/E/A6 would be interesting as they are about the same price but one fully loaded and the other base/SE spec
another small SUV...that doesn't bother me as much as "plastics everywhere inside!". Good review, a long time ago I wanted to get a capture as my first car lol.
@@lukaherc3_16 I ended up with a ford focus 2014 model, titanium x model with all the bells and whistles for the same price as a captur I was also eyeing up but was mid range model.
Very helpful review, thank you. You mentioned this car being cheaper than some of its rivals but you must have been thinking of cash or PCP buyers. Sadly for those of us wanting PCH it seems quite a bit more expensive, unless I have missed something? It would be extremely helpful when doing reviews if you commented on PCH prices too.
I get my new S line Captue on 7th Jan and I can't wait to get it. There is only one I have disagree with her on, is to have manual over an automatic. Yes you pay more an automatic but it makes the more eco, so will save more in the long run. You are seeing it more and more now that car companies are all making automatic nows. But as will everything it's each to there own.
I’m wondering if they’ve improved the heavy clutch and clunky gearbox from the previous model. I’m looking forward to moving mine on just as soon as the PCP allows me.
I ve driven TCE 100 and the clutch is really light. The gearbox is still slightly clunky, in my opinion, but if you change gears smoothly, it doesn’t being so annoying. The only issue I can see is with short shifting
Another awesome review. The only thing I'll mention is that I don't think the Skoda Kamiq has sliding seats, unlike the VW T-Cross. Having said that, I'm in Australia so maybe our models are slightly different.
Carbuyer give Nicola a raise before someone else offers her more money 💰 also she needs more money for some new jeans, the poor girl had to turn up for work with big rips in them!
Friend of mine got his delivered, total nightmare: 3+ months late, many options NOT installed even when its on the contract, they cant find the contract, dealer not accepting responsibility. Avoid this renault nightmare
Nice car, I like Renault and already own Duster, Duster did well in India but Captur did not go well and now discontinued.. May be this updated one back to India but at this price point its difficult to sell Captur in India. Too many options and compititon with Tata Harrier, Mahindra Thar, Hyundai, Kia, etc. Many car manufacturer discontinued diesel engine in India because new pollution guidelines. So do Renault Duster and other vehicles..
Regardless it has proven to be pretty popular so most seem to like it. I like it though the one drawback for me is the infotainment system which is relatively sluggish. It stands out though which is definitely a good thing in such a crowded segment.
@@georgedowns4034 I don't care if it's popular or not. A two-storey dash is excessive, with a weird driving position and, yeah, sluggish infotainment... I wanna be in the car and not feel the car is about to fall over me...
@@abelisraelcruzayuso4682 to you maybe but it’s a modern different design. I think the new Peugeot dashboards look great. They make the likes of VW look incredibly boring
I would reconsider it heavily for my girl if the PHEV would have the electric motor on the rear axle... AWD would add soo much sales. *Big mistake Renault, especially for small crossover with such a outstanding ground clearance*
Hi great review of the new Captur, with a new look to Carbuyer. I'm really Interested to know where you filmed this review? I think I know the location, but not quite sure? many Thanks.
you miss the cobblestone noise test. In fact the plastics of the dashboard can bring some chrispy & poping noises when the car runs on cobblestone street at 25-35km/h thus to the inevitable vibrations produced by the pavement and thus to the engeniering solution to mounting the dashboard. On the other way the car indeed can be very silent on asfalt pavement.
@@TT-wq3uf I own this car since november 2020. The car is amazing. As i said there were chrispy & poping noises on dashboard when the car travels on irregular pavement. I call Renault and they solved the issue. Now i can drive quiet on every roads and highways. And i can say i am not alone since others had the same issues... so... i conclued... that something in assembly line or on the design was wrong.
@@oquefizhoje what was the solution?? to get rif og the poping noise? I have no problem in this range and segment with plastics. These are not plush puf luxury vehicules but tools to get from A to B. But as owned two large brand new BMW's I would say, it is this car that as a tool does not make you broke and gets from A to B in style and pinch of trendy, funny style. imo..
I did xalled Renault and they manage to do some adjustments. They make it to reduce the center console crispy noises. I was comfortable with the solution approach. I think, and that only my opinion, is that they engineering some kind of assembly solution to reduce costs and it result on some noises noticeable with the car on the road. In other hand the car is very quiet inside cockpit and that makes any noise to be audible.... so maybe engineers could review that issues on the next Captur generation. Aside that... the car is very good to make you go from A to B. I do a urban circuit every day and my consumption points to 9.1 L/100Km. I have the petrol 999cm3 TCE 100 engine.
Please try to explain about price as well , I mean on different class options . If you just explain other things for a normal individual it’s not going to be helpful, unless search again in google 👺
@2:15 I’m not very tall (5’10”ish) and have always found this in most french cars that I feel like I’m sat on a bar stool when driving. @4:45 found that funny....only because I am a bit slow
