Way better looking than the last versions.

Great initial video! Would love to see future videos on these where you all compare similar shafts between the club models.

Very useful video. Love the new T200. The T300 was a big surprise. Easy to hit and long.

I believe the offset is the same between the t100 and t200.

Interesting to see t300s going right. The older version is an easy draw.

Hi 2nd Swing golf. Fan here from South Africa 🇿🇦 I am an 8 handicap golfer. I am looking for an iron with more workability, though I do struggle with my long irons from time to time. I was wondering if you would recommend getting the T100s from PW thru 7/6 iron and the T200 in the 4/5 iron? Love your content, keep it up!

Have you ever tried the AMT shafts? I was in the same boat and since getting my T100s' with amt whites I've been crushing my 4i, they're surprisingly very forgiving!

These look great. Upping the lie angle on the 300 would probably have fixed the right shots. It likely has a lower dynamic lie angle due to the MOI of the head - having more inertia toward the toe makes the toe drop more in the swing, so probably needs to be accounted for on the lie angle.

I'll drop off the T100S head for testing this weekend if you want it... I'm fitting at Island View tmrw afternoon then nothing until Tuesday morning.

The muscle channel adds Speed and Launch. Eventhough the loft is 2° lower, the ball launches higher and lands steeper thanks to the repositioning of weight.

Good info! We did get the T100S fitting head and compared it to both the T100 and T200 already, video coming soon

Why don't you test the clubs with the same loft and forget the number on the sole? It would give a much better comparison.
@derekwood7942
@derekwood7942 3 года назад
I would like to see that too, but keep in mind the shaft lengths would be different. Also, they can't match the lofts exactly, but the 6 iron T100 30 deg at 37.50" compared to the 7 iron T200 31 deg at 37.00" would be really interesting. I wish they would show landing angle on the stats as well because less spin at a steeper landing angle can have just as much stopping power as more spin at a shallower angle.

Excellent work, Thomas. Well done Drew. Such a shame I hadn't heard (?) or found (?) these T300's before I got my Cobra RadSpeed set. I feel as though the T300's would be my style (new golfer). Again, if I was in MN with my mates I'd visit to give you a high-five of how much you (Thomas) and Drew have helped me significantly in getting myself right in what I need to buy and what I need to be aware of in golf. Excellent content. Cheers boys. Dann

Why 2nd Swing is headquartered in Minnesota is a bit strange with such a short season.

I got mine from TGW about 4 weeks ago, good clubs, about 15 yards longer than my Rouge pros. However, the six iron was defective, something loose in the head. What a headache trying to get the six iron replaced. I have to send it back to titlest, will take 4 to 6 weeks to get it back. I thought TGW would just send me a replacement, ahhh no, had to go back to Titlest. At the least TGW could send me a dozen ProV1's for the hassle. Doubt that I will ever buy clubs at TGW, or anywhere online again.

Going into a fitting as a 5x a year golfer, is it worth trying a club like the 200 or is it best to stick in the game improvement category. I suppose my question is, with so many choices, how do I narrow it down to three or four clubs going into a fitting. Or do I just need to take hours and try them all. A video fitting a complete beginner would be awesome to help me know what to expect.

Being completely honest with you; first off, if you are only golfing five times a year it’s not worth buying new clubs at all unless you get like a Callaway Edge set from Costco. Second, you need to truly ask yourself why is it that you were golfing? Because if your answer is just to get out and have a good time, go with the most game improvement irons that you find aesthetically pleasing. But if your answer is this is a hobby I can see myself doing at least once a month, now you can start thinking about buying a new set of T200 irons. You’re a cost benefit ratio with these irons are going to be way out of proportion. Yes they sound nice, yes they look nice, but that’s absolutely not worth the price tag considering for the same price as a five through pitching wedge, $1200-$1400, you can have a full set of clubs ( I.e. drive, fairway, 2 hybrids, set of irons, wedges and putter) and 2-3 years worth of rounds. Trust me nothing will piss you off more than having spent 3 grand on a full bag just to shank every other shot and whom ever your playing with has a $300 set off Craigslist and shoots in the mid 80s.

Same thing when I watch these guys smash these TSI2 vs TSi3 they all scream omg it’s for worse players ugh more forgiveness and distance and it’s workable ughhh no I can’t play it lol.

Workability….notice you guys use this term a lot when talking about “players” irons. I think it would be good if you could explain what it means and what specifically about the iron you are seeing that makes it workable.
@AndreeMarkefors
@AndreeMarkefors 3 года назад
It means it's easier to intentionally spin/move, or work, the ball from left to right or vice versa. Contrary, more forgiving irons tend to 'just to straight'. It's all very ironic, since no single group of golfers curve their balls more than high HCP amateurs with "forgiving" irons and drivers. At the end of the day, ball flight is determined by club path, face angle, attack angle and so on.

My 2019 T100 set finally came in after a long delay. Is it worth returning them and getting the new t100?
@2ndswing
@2ndswing 2 года назад
There is subtle differences between the two. The 2021 model has more of a satin finish and looks slightly more blade like. Did you end up sticking with the 2019 set? - Thomas

If he was fitting someone he would put himself in the T-200 but his arrogance keeps telling him he should be playing the T-100
@jggolf4033
@jggolf4033 3 года назад
I noticed that also. They say to get fit but their ego take precedence over the data. It’s hypocrisy at it’s finest! He would rather shoot a 78 with T100 than a 68 with T200.

To be fair guys your correct abs many deal with that…. I saw a video of the Tsi2 vs 3 guy was legit hitting tsi2 3 wood over 300 yards off the deck but kept claiming it was junk lol. And In all fairness the t100s do feel that much better than the rest. No joke but t200s are the best of all worlds imho.

From another video I saw the T200 have the face stuff in the 300s and more forgiveness than the T100s or t100s again a bigger top line and bottom line (small amount tho) hope this helps

Odd video. Guys trying hard, but why have your benchmark in the form of a player in the 0 to 5 category when testing the T300? In fact this is an excellent iron for older players who once were good, but have lost swing speed. You can almost see the lip curl (!) at the absence of a soft draw or obvious workability in the T300, and ironically this is the club which will be the benchmark in the so-called 'game improvement' iron and category, and responsible for far more golfing pleasure across the board than the supposedly 'better' models. The T300 is long, forgiving, and has an astonishingly good dispersion for the player who now needs more help. Oh, and whilst I'm at it, get the T300 in an 85 gram steel, the stock shafts are far too heavy for the market segment they are supposedly aimed at: another aspect that didn’t occur to our otherwise worthy tester who still has an excellent fast swing which can deal with these heavy shafts!
@2ndswing
@2ndswing 2 года назад
Thanks for your feedback! I agree with your thoughts. A lighter steel or even graphite shaft in the T300's have worked very well in fittings for players that don't have as much speed & need forgiveness - Thomas
